Surfsider Resort - A Timeshare Resort

Great value. Enjoyed the quiet area on the canal and the short walk to the private beach. Convenient to necessities and two piers.

I have stayed at this property many times. They quality has gone down every year. Unfortunately this time we will not be back. Thanks to traffic and road closures we arrived after 2am. When we got into our room my son notice a bug on the bed spread we joked about a bed bug so my husband took a picture of the bug and searched Google. It was an adult un fed bed bug! We immediately left the room and called management. They gave us a different condo that was bug free but we were worried about it the whole week lots of issues with room like 20 year old dial thermostat very noisy ac that caused mr daughter to cry every time it came on tv remotes didn't work etc.

It was perfect…. Location friendly clean was just a good stay all the way around…. The staff was just so very nice

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Friendly staff, nice neighborhood. Close to restaurants and bars. Across the street from a beautiful beach. We stayed for a week and the one negative was the elevator broke down. We were on the 5th floor, and up and down those stairs for the last three days of our stay was exhausting. Our fault for bringing two luggage bags each made the trip up and down several times during checkout too much to want to come back.

Very impressed especially with excellent receptionist at check in. Arrived early from Whyndam Palm air had to vacate by 10 a.m book in at Surfsider 4p.m on arrival 10:30 advised room available for immediate occupation, “would we like beach chairs and parasol along with pool towels ( how many? Take a couple of extras) “result! None of the hanging around in a line as with the 5 star resorts to be annoyed by persistent and annoying time share sales who are very very limited with the ability to tell the truth and accept no for an answer. Rooms were a little dated but spacious and clean, aspect good overlooking inter coastal waterway, balcony good but could do with a larger table, being picky as I like my breakfast outdoors. Cross the road for the quiet beach, access to neighbouring hotels huge pool, another great interface with receptionist there, both young ladies need a big pat on the back and probably a pay rise. Get an Uber in the evening to LBS restaurants and bars little too far to walk and parking is a bit of a rip off. One minor complaint car parking markings are iffy. Arrows going in strange directions which no one seems to heed could cause an accident especially for us brits who drive one the other side of the road. Would stay again.

Staff at reception are awesome and a credit to the resort. I can see why so many people have said this in their reviews. The units however need maintenance and renovating. Our windows and blinds were cracked and broken. The oven and hob did not work. Hot water was difficult to get in shower as we were in 4th floor. We would stay again.
