Lovely well equipped room with absolutely everything you could possibly want, really well thought out. Restaurant and pub superb range of drinks and food, staff all friendly and efficient. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had and served personally by the chef. Will be back for sure!

Excellent breakfast the place has become like a second home after visiting every month this year. Canford is my go to place for business travel in Dorset and Bournemouth area.

Beautiful pub/hotel in fantastic location just minutes from the beach. We stayed for 2 nights over Easter and as we booked direct had a room upgrade to room with a lovely roll top bath and huge bed. Despite being really busy downstairs in the pub the room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. We ate one night in the pub and although the food was lovely the service wasn’t great, waiting to be seated, waiting for our order to be taken (we had to ask someone to take it). Our sharing starters arrived but we had to ask for plates - all minor things but these things are the difference between 4 and 5 star reviews. Upon check out we were asked if we had anything from the mini bar - we hadn’t but had been charged for items. It was removed from the bill but definitely felt like we were under suspicion. I understand not all people are honest and it was a lovely mini bar selection however it left us feeling uncomfortable at check out. Having said this it is clearly a very popular spot, always busy, lovely garden area and I would definitely recommend this place - but there is always room for improvement.

Perfect location and staff couldn’t do enough to make sure we had every we needed, bedrooms were perfect size and would recommend the breakfast, the food was great, either decide to eat at the restaurant or order room service. Would definitely go back again.

A great little place in a central location in Canford Cliffs. Good value for money. The rooms are nicely decorated & a comfy bed. The staff were exceptional with their service and the dinner & breakfast we had was delicious. Look forward to a return visit.

We have stayed many times, individually, as a couple and as a family. The rooms are beginning to look quite tired now, for the money we paid (£487 for 2 nights). The curtain was coming off the curtain rail, the bathroom extractor fan was extremely noisy, the shower controls were so loosely attached to the wall that they wobbled and the mirror shelf was rusty. None of this would take much to fix, and we did comment to the staff during our stay about this. Not what you expect for £240+ a night.

Great vibe and quirky rooms, we really enjoyed staying at The Canford. It was a flying visit as we had tickets to see something at Poole Lighthouse and would've liked to have stayed longer. Really friendly and accommodating staff, food was lovely too!

When we were first arriving at the Canford, there was a lovely lady leaving who welcomed us with a big smile and wishing us a good night and she would ‘see us in the morning’. This obviously started us on a positive. Once inside, staff were all welcoming, smiling and seemed really happy in their workplace - I really can’t fault you guys at all. The bar, dining and garden areas were lovely and well kept Our room was a double, it appeared smaller than it actually was due to all of the big furniture in there. Whilst I loved the style, it did look overcrowded. We were then delighted to see the array of ‘goodies’ on a tray (although did seem rather excessive) but, if we’d not have looked at the welcome book, we would have had no idea until check out, that this was an honesty tray! Never in all my years of travelling have I experienced such a thing and do think it totally unnecessary when most travellers are more than happy with a nice, locally produced biscuit and tea/coffee making facilities! There was also a mini bar, which was well stocked (obviously no one expects this to be free as per the norm) The room was fresh & clean, bed comfortable, although pillows were rather flat. The en suite was lovely but could I maybe suggest a shower grip bar for those of us who are a little unsteady We only ate breakfast at this venue, but oh my, it was wonderful and I would highly recommend. Once again staff were faultless On leaving our room to check out, we once again saw the lovely lady from the previous evening who wished us well and said she hoped to see us again, which made us both smile. At checkout we were asked if we’d had anything from the honesty tray and had the usual niceties before leaving
