A generously furnished and accessibly priced bit of private-balcony comfort in a quiet corner of a magnicently genuine small town in the tropics of Australia. The bonus was having a swimmable beach and long beach walk a mere 2 minutes' walk away, with a 'downtown' full of shops, bakeries, 2 bookstores and an art gallery only 15 minutes' walk in the other direction. I totally recommend this as a home base for a week's worth of day trips, into the Daintree rain forest and out to the Great Barrier Reef.

We stayed at The Beach Terraces in a 2 bedroom apartment. Property was very well equiped, had everything we needed. There were 2 pools at the property (the front one was our favourite). The staff are very friendly and more than happy to recommend restaurants and activities to do whilst we were in town. Location location! It was walking distance to everything and if you don’t feel like walking, it was easy enough to book a shuttle bus. Strongly recommended.

What a gem of a place to have a holiday,rooms are spacious with everything you need, fans and aircon are great, beds to die for.Pool and BBQ area to relax and unwind .and management George and Treveen are so helpful and caring and discounts on trips are available.Beach Terraces the place to stay.

Why would you you stay anywhere else. Rooms spacious fans and air conditioner fantastic ,bedding superb .pools and BBQ area great.and Management is so helpful and caring even getting discounts on tours a perfect place to stay.enjoy regards Mike Walsh

Beautiful place to stay clean rooms well presented pools colse to the beach and a short walk to the town great people in charge who are happy to help out with sugestions for sights and activities in the area. will go back and stay anytime i am in port Douglas

It's hard to believe that we've stayed at Beach Terraces every year (bar one for Covid) for the last 20 years - talk about a home-away-from-home! This place really does have it all - great location, clean comfy rooms, three pools, excellent BBQ area and welcoming hosts in Treveen and George. Here's to the next 20!

Return client of Beach Terraces. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and had great views to 4-mile Beach. It's at the 4 Mile Beach end of Macrossan Street Port Douglas. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and we are rebooked for 2024.

We have stayed at the Beach Terraces I think 4 times in a one bedroom apartment. It is in a terrific location near the 4 mile beach and close to town. The apartment is well appointed with a good balcony which overlooks the lush gardens. There is a pool in front and one at the rear perfect for lazing the days away which is what we love to do. All in all it is a very affordable holiday destination for us.

Excellent accommodation very centrally located, only minutes from the beach and shopping centre. The room was well presented and very clean. The bed was excellent, very comfortable. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Although centrally located it was not noisy. Will definitely return
