The Landing Resort is advertised as accommodation for those travelling, as a nice place to stay whilst in Port Hedland. It is predominantly a workers camp and as such the resort makes their money from mostly mining companies. $330.00 for a couple for 1 night is a bit steep, even with dinner and breakfast, especially as tourists are just pocket money really. There was no tea/coffee and kettle, no glasses, only 1 towel and it was an ensuite van, not one of the new rooms advertised on the website.

Travelling back from Telfer mine site. Was looking forward to staying as the photos of rooms looked good. We’re used to roughing it in mine camps but honestly this is a absolute dump! $370 for one night in a dirty tiny room. Food was terrible too. Nothing like the online photos at all. The food has gone really downhill since we last stayed in the vans. Custard was runny like water. Burnt sticky date. Raw pumpkin. Beef so fiery inedible. Never again

I went up for breakfast on the 15/07/2021 and had not a nice experience with the chef and one kitchen staff being argumentative and rude to people staying there and the food was all unhealthy mainly fried products. It is a shame when the rest of the staff are so nice and polite.
