This is a very good B & B. The room was comfortable & the hosts go out of their way to tell you about the entertainment in the area. The food at the Bistro close by was good, & the music & food at The Red Shoe Pub in nearby Mabou was excellent.

Highly recommend this fantastic spot for your trip to Cape Breton. Clean and bright room, lots of parking, great homemade breakfast in quaint kitchenette/dining room. Had very informative chat with hosts, very helpful with history, sites, and hikes in area. For our week touring the Cabot Trail, this was our favourite place we stayed at.

Alain and Denise were super hosts, so helpful in local suggestions including low cost, fresh, local lobster and advice on how to eat it since we were . Spotless rooms, beautifully furnished, and everything worked. Great breakfasts! We had a wonderful 2 night stay.

We spent 2 nights here. The room was lovely, the breakfasts good. What made it extra special was Alain and Denise. At breakfast we had an illustrated guide and suggestions for trips, where to find Cape Breton music. Complete with a fiddle tune! We bought lobsters and they showed us how to shell them. With their input I was able to play with local musicians. Their efforts made our stay in Cape Breton and amazing memorable experience. Go before they sell!

This is a very nice B&B. The rooms are large, clean, quiet, nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific with tasty homemade food, including jams and fresh bread. Our meal was accompanied by fiddle music played by the host. The service was very friendly and helpful, providing lots of information about the area and things to do.

Very comfortable large room with air con and efficient ( and quiet) ceiling fan. Hosts really kind and helpful and knowledgeable about the area, gave great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Breakfast with lots of homemade items was lovely and we were given an interesting powerpoint talk about the area whilst we ate. Also treated to some fiddle playing. Fridge available in communal area plus a coffee machine. Good restaurants in walking distance too. Would stay again

I highly recommend this B&B. The rooms are large, super clean, modern and have some nice touches. The bed was comfortable. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was sensational including a fruit bowl., yoghurt, various homemade jams, home baked bread, and a delicious quiche. The host gave a nice historic talk during breakfast and played a little fiddle tune for us. They are well-informed about the region and have good sightseeing tips. Not all rooms have a view.

The breakfast is exceptional.. the rooms are lovely spacious and clean. The hosts running the B&B are very nice and gave us a fantastic history of Port Hood . I would highly recommend The Fiddle and the Sea. We left there and drove on the beautiful Cabot Trail.
