Lovely eco lodge on a ridge with 360 degree stunning views. All amenities you’d expect plus complete isolation, yet only 20 mins from PL shops, Peter Teakle Winery and Boston Bay Elaine’s, and about 30 mins Coffin Bay where we did an oyster farm experience (all 3 of these highly recommended). The lodge is comfortable and spacious, very comfortable bed, good shower and deep bath (did fit 2 of us). Washing machine, dishwasher, tvs and sockets for charging, most of which e didn’t use as this place is for relaxing. The full cooker and oven was good, bbq as well. Grilling toast under a grill is not hard (?!), and the kettle works fine on a gas hob! The table and chairs outside aren’t comfortable but we sat at the cafe windows with them open which was as good, it was too windy to lounge outside. Short walks around the property are nice and the sunrises spectacular. We saw many birds but no kangaroos. Roads are rough but 2WD is ok. Overall very good if you want quiet but access to a town. Luxury is subjective thing, I’d say if you want peace this is luxurious and that’s what you’re paying for.

A beautiful bush setting and eco lodge, but did not meet expectations for ‘luxury’ label and price-point. Dismissive response to feedback.

The eco lodge is still a very nice spot, but time has probably moved on a little and the accolades once awarded have perhaps ‘faded’ a little now so aren’t as relevant to what is currently considered a ‘luxury’ offering in the true sense. The $500 price ticket is probably about right but other than the view there aren’t standout aspects that make you feel it’s a ‘cut above’. If you want seclusion it’s absolutely perfect and it’s very warm and cosy whilst still spacious. But for what is essentially a ‘house’ it was a bit weird having no table and chairs. There were red wine glasses but only a single white wine glass! The confirmation says a bottle of wine is included. There wasn’t any. We’d never rely on that anyway and did bring our own, but if you had expected it to be there you’d be annoyed at being far out of town for your getaway or celebration without what was confirmed as an inclusion. There are no power points for phone chargers near your bed. There are no steak knives. Yet there is a lovely brand new bbq. That was great! The compendium of information is quite out of date. Having the loo IN the bathroom is a pain - can’t really understand that design when it’s such a large bathroom space. The concept behind a deep Japanese bath is fabulous but the reality is that it is NOT for two people as stated - it’s not comfortable for two and we are not two large people!!

The property has enormous potential, but attention to details are needed: Cobwebs outside, sure, but not inside. Dust and insect corpses in and around the living area. The promised "welcome bottle of wine" did not materialize. Use by dates long gone on jars of jam, one even had been opened by the prior occupant, a knife used to taste the product, then returned to the cupboard. A used bedsheet still in the sofa bed from the previous stay (I know this as I shook dead insects from it) No liquid soap in the shower. On the whole the property is stunning, the scenery is captivating. To make it really a 5 star stay though, it needs some work done to meet this standard.

It is a spectacular setting, the bird life is tremendous, thanks to the efforts the owners have made in regenerating the Native Bush. The Ridge Top lodge has 360degree views so Sunrises and Sunsets are on. Well equipped and comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay. It is quite a drive from the main highway, but pretty well signposted

There was no mobile service on site and not informed about this prior to booking. The dirt track in to the property is not in good condition whilst we were there it rained and was not great. Very disappointed for “luxury” it’s far from

WOW - so secluded - so off the grid - the afternoon birds landing in skyline from the windows outlook from Lounge was breathtaking. The Lodge is deluxe with features - Hosts are on par - We are not bushwalkers - but the surrounding environment of the native Bushland is a breath of fresh air. My Partner has been bitten by a white back spider - this was our only issue - the glass high windows over kitchen inside and out and high facades out on patio and BBQ need to be eco treated -spiders are great to balance the eco-system ( had the mosquito coils (provided by the hosts) - but need to clean and shoo them away for Luxury Accom at this price - apart from that Me & My Man had the best time to be alone and enjoy Us over the time spent on Eyre Peninsula - Thanks Jill & Mike x
