Hostal Juventus is located in Portbou, the last town before the border with France, in Costa Brava Region, in Catalonia. The rate quality/price is good. It is located in the center of Portbou, very near of the beach and the main promenade. In fact, it is our reference accommodation in Portbou, it is the third time I have come. The room has the indispensable things, also coffee and tee. Very well located to follow the GR20 pathwalk and to go to the Red Coast in the South of France. The staff was very friendly. There is a bar in the hostel. On the other hand, the room has little furniture. The building is a bit old. It does not have a lift.

Hostal Juventus is an accommodation located in the centre of Portbou, the last town before the border with France in Costa Brava Region. The rate quality/price is good (it is cheap). It is a pragmatic accommodation in the centre of the town. The room had coffee and tea to breakfast. The shared bathroom was very clean. The staff, in the bar, was very friendly. If we come Portbou again, we will come here. The last two days I was alone and they kept me in the same double room as the first day. On the other hand, the room was a bit austere. The bed was uncomfortable, too hard. There is not lift.

Hostal Juventus is a typical old accommodation located in the center of Portbou, the last Catalan town before the border with France. It has a rate quality/price good. The room had two beds and some amenities, however there is a shared bathroom. However the bar was noisy, I could sleep well at night. Good and pragmatic place to stay one night (specially if the train you want to catch disappeared mysteriously). A basic hostel. 3/5.
The room was quite tidy. There were hairs in the shared wc+shower, otherwise quite tidy. The beds were ok (springmadrass), the beddings were quite sheer and had quite strong smell (due to washing powder?). The walls let through all noises from outside and other rooms. The room&house had a stale smell.
The receptionists spoke rather good english.
The breakfast included 2 toasts, croissant and warm drink.

Our room number 31 left something to be desired. A more than deplorable experience... Very average hygiene of the premises (hair in the sheets and on the sinks) Dangerousness of the premises: frame falling on the bed, dangerous stairwell in the event of a fall. Hospitality really limited We do not recommend this establishment.
