Inn at Northrup Station

.The hotel left a mixed impression. Despite the excellent reviews and not being the cheapest option, we were overall disappointed. Starting with the positives: A very convenient location in a pleasant, green, and quiet neighborhood not far from downtown. There are plenty of great cafés, small shops, restaurants, and wine bars nearby. Polite and friendly staff at the front desk. Interesting room design. Spacious parking available for hotel guests. Large rooms. Now the downsides: Thin walls and creaky floors made it very difficult to sleep. The soundproofing is basically nonexistent. The young couple staying in the next room was clearly enjoying their time together, which unfortunately meant a very uncomfortable experience for us. In addition, the refrigerator in the room was extremely noisy — not only did it hum loudly when running, but it also made constant knocking sounds. The breakfast was exceptionally poor. The only “hot” items seemed to be the coffee and a dishwasher, which, oddly enough, was placed right in the middle of the breakfast area. There were two small TVs in the room, both positioned very inconveniently for viewing, and neither had streaming services available. The housekeeping staff was intrusive — within a 20-minute period, they knocked on the door three times (and even tried to open it once), apparently trying to hurry us out, even though it was still before checkout time.

Great place and perfect location.

One of the nicer hotels in town, and a unique vibe. Staff are very "Portland" and the goth chick who checked me out gave me a very withering reception. No idea if it was personal or if she was just going through something, pretty awkward though. Please treat us better next time. Also I got the sense I was being spied on by the TVs. Don't be weird, guys.

My husband, 2 sons and I stayed at the Inn at Northrup Station recently while in Portland visiting our daughter. The location worked out very well for us and everyone enjoyed the breakfast. The first night, our bathroom door squeaked when we got up in the middle of the night to use the facilities waking others in the room. I talked to the front desk in the morning and they came in and gave it some oil which worked perfectly to silence it during the night. Very much appreciated! The beds seemed smaller than normal queen sized beds but we had no way of verifying that. Luckily there was a pull out sofa in our room so one of our sons slept on that after the first night. The bed did seem smaller than our queen at home to my husband and me as well.

This little neighborhood hotel is fabulous! The decor is absolutely fun, fun, fun. Staff was friendly and helpful and the place very clean. Centrally located in the Nob Hill District there was plenty to do and most within walking distance. Loved it!

Great staff, fun vibe, clean and easy to get around town. Will definitely come back. My only complaint was it wasn't very sound proof so we did hear neighbours and noise, but Portland itself was a rather noisy place! Lol

Loved the Inn at Northrup Station! Located in a cute walkable Portland neighborhood. Spacious and comfortable room done in a super quirky and fun design. Stayed for just one night…wished I had more time to enjoy the property and the neighborhood.

This is a fantastic property located just blocks from an amazing Portland shopping district with incredible access to the street car. Spacious, clean rooms with fun color schemes and comfortable furniture and a very friendly staff. Next time I go to Portland, I'll definitely be going back to Inn at Northrup Station!
