Very good accommodation, old but very cozy apartments

Very good accommodation, very clean, friendly staff. I recommend.

There are still no sockets in the rooms, the pool is not heated as before. At check-in they need to provide all the activities that the hotel offers. Other than that, it's still great!

I had already stayed at the Hotel Plaza São Rafael on other occasions. I really like the hotel because of the affectionate memory I have of it and the city of Porto Alegre, since childhood. However, on this last opportunity, I noticed several signs of a decline in the quality of accommodation. The staff in general, very friendly and well trained. A few others, however, clearly have no vocation for the hotel industry. In this last accommodation, I stayed in a very old room in need of renovation. The drain in the bathroom shower, inexplicably, was located at the highest point of the floor, causing water to accumulate and overflow out of the shower stall with each shower. Very uncomfortable pillows. Upon arriving at the hotel and until the following day, the system for recording access cards to the apartments was not working, which meant that every time you were away you had to go to reception for an employee to accompany you to the apartment and open the door. door with his functional card. Imagine, going to the gym and going to reception to get into your room; have breakfast and go to the reception (in this case, you and the rest of the hotel) and so on until the 3rd day of arrival. The vehicle parking system is a separate chapter. The worst EPark service I have had the unfortunate opportunity to experience in the entire world. Two or three employees to serve all customers. Every time you needed to leave with your car, it required 20 to 30 minutes of waiting at the hotel entrance. The impression is that they were going to pick up their car in another municipality. Expensive service, charged in advance, extremely inefficient and without concern for your dissatisfaction. Breakfast is good, but it could be improved a lot and there is an embarrassing and excessive surveillance on guests who enter the room for breakfast, with more than one approach occurring regarding their room number, their name, who the person is who is with you at the table and this while you are drinking coffee. This time, the accommodation left a lot to be desired. But to be fair, I would like to highlight the cordiality and professionalism of all the staff at the reception desk, the very good bed and the very cleanliness of the surroundings.
