I took a day trip and stayed in here for one night. The only thing I regret is that I only one day. The ocean view from the room was breathtaking and all staff were extremely warm and welcoming. The dining was also very good!
They offer free water taxi and free boat tour which was definitely worth it.
I didn’t get a chance to use the gym. But this is perhaps one of the best gym set up I have seen. I will take my family back here again!

We first travelled to Il San Pietro on honeymoon in 2001, and recently returned to celebrate our anniversary and my wife's birthday. Our visit simply reinforced my view that this is a place of timeless quality - the location, the staff, the service, the food and the rooms are all truly exceptional. Stepping back into the foyer and onto the terrace, we could immediately sense that the essence of the place, the care and passion imbued in it that almost hangs in the air, had not changed and has if anything intensified with the passing of time. This is a place to rest and relax, to take in the beauty and peaceful surroundings of the cliff top location. Positano is only a short boat transfer or shuttle ride away to enjoy, however returning back to the hotel after a day exploring felt like coming home. Thank you to Andrea and all of the staff - your care, attention to detail and stewardship are what sets ISP apart in world that has perhaps forgotten what true style and elegance used to be. We had the most enjoyable stay at Il San Pietro di Positano. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, exceptional design and decor, super comfortable beds, superb location. The views are stunning, like from a movie set. We can’t wait to be back!

Our stay at Il San Pietro di Positano was nothing short of extraordinary. While the property itself is stunning—with panoramic views, elegant design, and world-class amenities, it’s the exceptional, personalized service that truly sets this hotel apart. From the moment we arrived, even though it was very late in the evening, we were made to feel not just like valued guests, but like part of the Il San Pietro family. One of the most memorable touches was being personally welcomed by the General Manager Andrea Zana the next morning, whose warmth, kind small gestures like little gifts in the room and attention to detail set the tone for the rest of our stay. He seemed to be present and genuinely invested in each guest’s experience, and that personal connection is part of the magic in Il San Pietro. Throughout our stay, every member of the staff—from housekeeping to the front desk, and the incredible team at the breakfast restaurant—delivered service that was not only flawless but deeply personal. They remembered our names, our preferences, and greeted us back every evening asking about our day and making us feel like we were returning home. The hotel also provides very convenient complimentary boat and minivan shuttle services to Positano town for its guests. We’ve had the privilege of staying in many luxury hotels, but Il San Pietro redefines hospitality. It’s not just a beautiful hotel. It's a place where you feel truly welcomed, and cared for. We left with full hearts, already planning our return.

Even with a terrible weather, two days of thunders, lightnings and showering rain, il San Pietro proved to be, and by far, the most beautiful hotel in the world. Congratulations for the passion that everybody in the staff spends to achieve such a wonderful result.

I don't have enough words to express our love for this hotel, our most memorable stay by far. Since arrival at Il San Pietro di Positano, the service has been nothing short of exceptional. The check-in experience was both professional and personable, taking the time to explain important details about the hotel as well as letting us enjoy some peace and serenity having a welcome drink with insane views. Our room overlooking the sea is magnificent. The dinner at Zass was incredible, both in service and in flavors. Attention to detail at breakfast was beyond typical, making us feel at home & welcome as well as completely taken care of. We were able to experience the complimentary 2-hour boat tour of the Amalfi coast, which was a beautiful addition, as well as the cocktail masterclass where we learned so much about the origins of the Negroni and got to participate in the process of making our own cocktail. We've been to countless hotels around the world and the level of sophisticated service here surpasses every single one. All our needs were attended to beyond our expectations. We usually wait until check-out to write a review but this level of service needs cherishing and publicity for anyone debating where to stay in Positano or on the Amalfi coast. Thank you to all the staff and the general manager for putting so much thought and work into creating unforgettable experiences. Do not change anything, you are perfect!

From the staff to the facilities, everything works perfectly smoothly. One of the best properties I’ve stayed in a while. I genuinely recommend it if you want to get spoiled and enjoy a vacation in a peaceful spot in Positano. The views are breathtaking.
