Hotel Antico Podere Propano

I have often frequented this hotel in the past years always in winter and for professional reasons always getting a very good impression. Mindful of these experiences, I booked an overnight stay in a premium room a few days ago, believing I was experiencing the same positive emotions of the past. Unfortunately this was not the case. Quite the contrary. This hotel is rated 3 stars S, the rating should guarantee certain services and amenities that I honestly have not found. The structure is affected by the ravages of time and would need renovation but unfortunately this is not the point. The room on arrival was very cold, the heating was not adequate or malfunctioning and was unable to raise the temperature in any way even though the thermostat was set to maximum. It is difficult to try to sleep in this environment where there was not even a blanket in the wardrobe, to get it I had to go to the lobby to collect it but unfortunately it was of little use. The empty mini-bar, the safe not present as the stationery (paper, pen and other), no glass and least of all slippers. But let's get to the bathroom: 1 plastic cup, a small bottle of bubble bath, a bar of soap and a barely warm heater. Nothing else. To finish the night in the cold and start the day a very poor breakfast served as in the company canteens. The 3 star S hotels are different.

Structure certainly valid, quiet and clean. Disappointing breakfast: the distribution clerk gave out mini portions, weighing and measuring the food to save: a mini slice of ham, a small piece of cheese. To be able to make a sandwich you had to insist. A little embarrassing! I assure you that we are not gluttons, on the contrary! Yes, brioche and more. No cake: in a saucer briccole di dolce (panettone?) And two slices of anomima tart. Agree that the pandemic does not require self service but the clerk seemed to have to give her. Reported to the management, they replied that Covid has upset their work. We only got up from our table once to go and get something else to eat but when we returned from the distribution table we found our station with no more cups and glasses, already cleared and disinfected! Bottom line: Our poor breakfast lasted 7 minutes. We went out and went to breakfast in a pastry shop in the nearby center of Saluzzo !!!!

Ho pernottato per un viaggio di lavoro in questo bellissimo hotel. Location unica da provare, per poi sicuramente tornare. Camere spaziose e pulite, personale molto cortese, e con quella cordialità che ti fa’ sentire a casa. Ottima la colazione, ben fornita e con prodotti di qualità. Se avrò l’occasione ritornerò molto volentieri… arrivederci e grazie di cuore.

La stanza era ampia, molto pulita e ben riscaldata con un bagno molto comodo e ben fornito. L' ambiente dell' Antico podere propano è rustico, a tratti austero, ma raffinato allo stesso tempo. Ottima e molto varia la colazione.
