We have previously stayed with Eurocamp many times before so know what to expect but I have to say this experience was soo noisy. The site is huge, the older part is very squashed in, thankfully we were in the newer part but this meant we were a short walk to the centre. The music was very loud, It was supposed to stop at 11pm but went on nearer to 12, then after this the youth guests congrgate in the central area until the early hours. Take earplugs. We did ask to move but it was fully booked. The at 7am the bins are emptied. If it's not the noise from the live music in the evening it's the DJ set up around the pool. If you want the opportunity to have a few quiet days this site is not for you. Also do not rely on Wifi at all.. it works in the central area but only early in the morning, once everyone wakes up you've no chance.. which is a huge shame as they have a great app in which you can pre order food and even get table service to your pool lounger.. if only there was sufficent wifi. The pools are good, all soft flooring in the water areas so perfect for young families. We never had a problem getting sunbeds or shade. The large pool does get very busy, it resembled the "diary of a wimpy kid" film but they did offer lane swimming in the morning. Washing facilities are great, 5 Euros needed and great clean facilities. The site itself is clean, I saw no bugs / fly problems and it's well kept with lots of lovely plants / flowers etc. The shop is huge and well stocked and bread is baked throughout the day. Pizza takeaway is popular, and very good but sometimes it was well over an hour wait (they did put up a sign to say the waiting times) The activies on site are pricey eg: 15 euros per person for the highropes.. My daughter and friend completeted it in less than 15 mins. The cocktails are also pretty pricey.. 10 euros for a cocktail round the pool. There is a great shop on site which sells lots of well known brands eg: Barts / Nike / Birkenstock etc which is useful. All at highstreet prices. The beach is a short walk but beach facilities are non existent from what we saw and the beach itself shelves quickly so care is needed with young children. Would highly recommend a visit to Piombino and the old town, it's not the easiest to find (the old town part) but well worth it, head to the main view point. The Macdonalds signposted just outside the site is in Piombino and a good 20 mins drive.
