Service was amazing, we were able to check in half an hour before. Outside swimming was open in april.
The experience at the spa was amazing. Many different options i the main pool, 3 saunas and outside jacuzzi
Food was delicious and great variety. We will definitely repeat!

Ideal setting for nature lovers. Comfortable facilities, ideal spa, very complete in its system, well organized. Good cafeteria-restaurant service. Very quiet location and well connected.

The air conditioning service in the room was disastrous. We were forced to sleep with the windows open, making it impossible to lower the temperature in the room. The accommodation was in the parallel facilities they have in the spa hotel, disastrous.

We travelled all over Spain and we stayed in a lot of 4 stars hotels, this hotel was the only one we were disappointed in. It is more like a 3 stars hotel. I felt stressed out during our stay. You have to respect the very strict schedule of the meals. The dinner time was a mess as you have to wait to be taken to the table, wait to be served although it should be a buffet. Pros - good location - close to Santander, Bilbao, Picos de Europa - free parking - nice area Cons - you have to schedule all of your meals (we chose 9 am for breakfast and 20.30 for dinner) - poor breakfast, every day the same things (no boiled eggs, no fried eggs, no pancakes, no crepes) - if you do not speak some good Spanish you will have trouble speaking with the people who work here - the dinner is not buffet as they advertise it, you have to ask for food and the waiters are not friendly and they do not speak English. If you come back for more food they eye-roll you - all food is labeled in Spanish, no warnings for food allergies - the bathroom smelled bad (a mix of mold and sewage) - the room was dated, dark and dusty - the walls are very very thin (we could hear our neighbors snore, talk, flush the toilet) - the window could not be closed shut and they had rust on the handles - poor Wi-fi

Large hotel, very nice and comfortable. Very nice buffet lunch and breakfast. Free parking right outside. Staff were very welcoming. Nicely sited in the centre of Puente Viesgo. Only 25 minutes from Santander so a great stop off point for the ferry.

The setting is in a pretty Spa village. The hotel is quite a big hotel and modern with lots of marble flooring. The Reception staff spoke some English and were friendly and helpful. Our room was a Junior Suite on the third floor. It was spacious with a large bed which was a relief after the cramped uncomfortable cabin we had on our trip over on Brittany Ferries. The decor is on the bland side but the view from the windows more than made up for this. We were the only English staying in the hotel but this was fine as we managed with a very helpful Restaurant Manager to work our way through the menu in Spanish. He also advised us to go in the Restaurant as the buffet room was going to be very busy. The food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good too and had a plentiful selection. On our second night we ate across the road at their large cafe which has a nice outdoor terrace. The attraction for us was that we were able to eat earlier than the 8.30pm dinner service time that operates throughout Northern Spain. No English was spoken but we managed with helpful waiters and Google translate! The hotel is well known for its Thermal Spa Complex. We decided to try it despite no English spoken but again we managed with helpful staff and Google translate and managed to understand what we were supposed to do. This included wearing a swim cap provided by the hotel! It was a great experience and thoroughly therapeutic and relaxing. We had a good overall experience at the hotel and slept well. We would definitely stay here again even if it was only for a night passing through on our way south.
