This is a small convenient, comfortable and very welcoming place to base a Galapagos land tour trip from. Our host john took care of us, down to the little details like when I needed a nail clipper boom there we got it! Food was delicious. Cleaning and Service was wonderful and it was a great place to stay. We felt welcomed into the Local vibe, with lots of tips on what to do and see — and helpful input on decisions we were making to make the most of this extraordinary trip.

For a recent business trip, this hotel was a great option. I stayed in their private Studio for fifteen days. The staff, Fabiola in particular, was incredibly attentive, taking care of all the small details so I could focus entirely on my work. The accommodating breakfast service offered by John, the owner, was a particular highlight making sure I started each day off right and on time. I would highly recommend this hotel to any business traveler looking for a seamless and productive stay as well as for anyone visiting the Galápagos Islands for leisure.

We had an EXCELLENT stay at Torre Mar. Our apartment was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable! The courtyard area was spacious and so pretty at night with the string lights. We loved sitting out there in the morning and night each day. We had a delicious breakfast up on the balcony! Do not miss ordering the breakfast add on! One of the most important and special parts of our stay? It was the host, John. He is an incredibly helpful and genuinely caring person. He went far over and beyond any expectation helping to make our trip to the Galapagos the experience we dreamed of. We are already looking forward to going back again, and we will stay at Torre Mar and look to John’s guidance for the best experiences also. He was a treasure of connections and guidance. Don’t hesitate to book here!

What an amazing experience as a guest at Torre Mar! We rented the penthouse suite and absolutely loved it! A gorgeous view of the ocean, comfortable bed, exceptionally clean and specious room with nice furniture. But the host, John, is what made this experience more than 5 stars. He is so personal, funny, helpful and kind. He always checked on us, gave us local recommendations, booked taxis, helped with laundry, brought us room service and treated us like friends. The breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip! We loved being here so much we didn’t want to leave. It is an easy walk to get to the Malecón and pier. The neighborhood is lovely, the penthouse was quiet and the WiFi was strong. This was a 10 star experience and exceeded our expectations in every way. I only hope to come back to stay and have some laughs with John again!

We stayed 8 nights at Torre Mar and the apartment was excellent. Very clean, comfortable large bed, well equipped kitchen, good working airco and great location (only 10 min walk from the main pier). John made our time fantastic, thanks again!

I cannot speak too highly of our host John, who was not just a host but became a friend. His help and hospitality are second to none. He made sure all our needs were catered for and gave us great advice about what to see and do and how to arrange our various tours. We stayed in the Studio apartment which has everything you could wish for and a lovely outdoor area with granite top bar and mood lighting to enjoy an evening vino or two. All the fixtures and fittings and attention to detail are top quality and the whole place felt like a home from home. Outstanding.
