Grand Hotel Leon Marino Galapagos

good place, excellent breakfast.

We stayed here for 4 days. The hotel is 4 min walk to the dock and very close to good restaurants in the area. We stayed in Room 8. The floor almost always feel sticky but we think it’s due to the humidity and being close to the ocean. The shower could use a bit more water pressure; and more hooks to hang the towels. There was no Complimentary water in this hotel, unlike the other hotels we stayed at; no tea kettle or coffee pot. For a grand hotel, this property has very weak almost non-existent Wi-fi in the room. We had to stay on the first floor by the reception to access wifi to check-in our flights and emails etc. We brought this up to the Receptionist, we tried their different wifi access but it’s not functional. We get better wi-fi going to restaurants, cafes, even on a Ferry, & other hotels we stayed at. Needless to say, the smart TV did not work either— not that we are crazy about it. On the positive note, it’s generally clean, they reserve breaKfast table with your name, breakfast was decent, they offer lunch boxes if you need it, the laundry service is good, it has a pool, plenty of seating areas by the lobby. Over-all, it’s a good place but we will consider other options if we come around again.

Location is convenient The room was large and clean. Our vacation consisted of staying in 5 different hotels and this was the only hotel that did not supply any complimentary water. There was also no coffee pot or refrigerator which is fine since it was not advertised. What they do advertise is Wifi which is so spotty almost none existent. We stayed here four nights. This hotel was the only one in the area with wifi issues. Local restaurants, ferries, coffee shops, etc had no wifi issues. When it was brought to their attention there was no response. Location is 4 minutes from the pier and 15 minutes from the Charles Darwin center.

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Easy Access to Everything Spacious room with comfortable beds, effective air-con, and fast wifi. Just a short walk to the pier, shops and restaurants. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Tasty breakfast. Helpful staff.
