Apartamentos Corona Mar

Initially booked to stay here as an alternative to our usual accomodation Bitacora Lanzarote Club. Upon our arrival after 4pm the reception is not open and you are let in via a webcam intercom by somebody and made to hold your passport up etc to prove it’s you. The operator on this intercom hasn’t been to the property from the sound of this telling us that our room is on the ground floor. The room was not and is the second on the main floor but there is another 2 floors lower from the reception area so essentially this is the fourth floor. The room had seen better days and could do with a refreshing of paint and glossing doors. however for the price I suppose you get what you pay for. However the cleanliness I’d say is about a 3/5, there was so many hairs left scattered around clearly none of ours as they was long (none of ours are), all in the shower as well and under the bed. There is no aircon in the room but a fan, luckily there is a back door in the room which we had to open but this meant with the wind all the hair dirt and dust blew all over and the floor was a mess - though it was cleaned through the week, we kept discovering more that was not ours… yuck. The pool area is quite modern however hardly anybody sunbathes, I enjoy sunbathing myself but my friend does not due to his skin type … however there is no parasol umbrellas . We asked at reception do they have any and was given the response ‘Maybe not I will check’ … we are still waiting for this to be checked - as you can imagine we didn’t get an umbrella. Not even one was located in the entire complex even in the seating areas … and due to its location there is no shade unless you go back to your room which will be roasting without the aircon. All in all, I’m not sure this is my first choice - we tried it to see if we got an economic option … though I will be sorry to say I don’t think I will be staying here again unfortunately.

1st time staying in Corona Mar. It's in a great location and only 5 minute approx walk to the *****. You don't hear any noise from the ***** even though it's very close. The complex is clean but could do with a few umbrellas to shelter from the sun. The apartments are basic but clean. Our apartment number 4 could do with being freshened up though. The handrail in bathroom is loose in shower area and floor area in the shower felt a bit wobbly. The entry door looks dirty and needs a fresh coat of paint. It's really the small things but would make it even better. Missed not having Aircon but with 2 fans available it helped except at night because I couldn't sleep while they were on. The bedroom requires updating, the legs on one of the beds was unstable and making it uncomfortable to sleep in. Also a bedside table on both sides would be great. There was 2 cigarette butts in the side room where the mop and bucket was. Neither of us smoke so no idea where these came from. I loved the location of these apartments but they are not for me. Lack of Aircon and uncomfortable beds is the main reason because It affected my sleep. There are 56/57 steps from entry to pool area and where most apartments are situated so this complex would not suit someone with mobility issues.

Very mixed thoughts prior to this holiday however, we had a fab time and apartments were really good. Get the negative points out the way for which there’s only a few - pretty steep stairs for people with walking difficulties up to reception/rooms (is a back entrance /exit route which is an alternative. No air-con in rooms although there was a fan available and finally extra charges for keeping room on was a bit steep especially as reception shut at 4pm (small shower area available but not the best). However, we really enjoyed apartments, lovely and clean rooms which were well equipped (kettles, towels, hairdryer, microwave, oven, English tv channels and fridge all in rooms). Rooms cleaned several times during stay - fresh towels etc every other day - can’t fault cleanliness of rooms or pool area. Lovely and quiet around pool (pool was cold mind) and there was even a sun roof lounge which was very peaceful. Canny selection of books available to read which was also a bonus. Spar a minute away from complex and it was only a 5min walk down to main shopping / bars & restaurants. Nice pub halfway down road to break the walk up (First and Last bar - sold lush pasties and sausage rolls . Overall lovely holiday and will return again to apartments.

Wow, this place just gets better with every visit!!! We love the peaceful atmosphere at these apartments, no sunbed wars, no loud drama round pool, just nice and so relaxing. These apartments think of everything, facilities are great, and the new improvements are excellent, made check in out off hours hassle free. We won't stay anywhere else when we come to PDC,keep up the good work guys,your place is amazing

I have stayed in Corona Mar apartments for a week. I was really impressed with the size of the apartments and the nice views from the balcony as there were a poolview and a seaview at the same time. This place is very very relaxing and you can barely hear any noise at all as most of the clientele were very polite and understanding The location was perfect as it was only two minutes walking to the main ***** with lots of bars restaurants and cafes. I would like to thank Mr Enrique who was very very profession, polite, helpful and attentive to every single detail! The room was cleaned 3 times a week by a very polite and professional cleaners! And now to the usual question: would I come back again? and the answer is 100% yes Thank you again ROOM 28

Fabulous apartments! Everything you need for a very comfortable stay including an oven,iron n ironing board which are very rarely included in sc apartments! Close to all amenities spar nxt door , bars ,restaurants& beach which is lovely! House keepers friendly & work really hard to make sure everything is spotless & handyman cleaning all the loungers was friendly & polite also. The man on reception was very helpful & informative about facilities ( courtesy room,luggage room etc) also friendly. All in all we had a really lovely stay for 5 nights & would highly recommend! We will definitely be booking again. Thank you all at the corona mar x
