Blue Chairs Beachfront Resort Puerto Vallarta - Adults Only

This was a horrible experience! There was feces in the showers, flooded rooms, malfunctioning toilets, missing locks on doors making it a security risk. The place is runned down and there is lack of communication from staff, as well as horrible horrible customer service. I would not stay here again!!!!! I urge this place to be vetted and removed from your trip.com list. Its embarrassing to be associated with this place

Clean room, housekeeping staff were amazing. Enjoyed the stay and loved Puerto Vallarta. The beach options were nice, never had a problem getting an umbrella or seat. The pool was nice and quiet.

The property is located on a tricky area to get to, but once you arrived you are greeted by a great host (Rebecca). Although we ended switching rooms everyone was very accommodating. And our waiter at the beach (Luis) was extremely helpful to my wife and I. In short we loved it!!

The hotel has very unreliable internet in the rooms. Moreover, this hotel is really dated--like from the 1970s. I was absolutely surprised that it is called a "resort." What it offers is location--right across from the beach. Personally, I would rather walk one block and feel as if I am in the 21st Century. The curtains are old and ratty, the doors let in light and air, the doors are scuffed and need repainting, etc. All of this adds to an air of dilapidation that makes one feel as if they are staying budget hotel.

Room was clean, staff was nice. So many issues with the two room penthouse suite they shoved all 3 of us into the one bedroom penthouse. Like last time water pressure was awful, no hot water but if it did get hot, then there was no cold. So showers were either cold or scalding hot. Last time our shower curtain rod hole and fell apart and when we tried to put I back on it was so cheap and light weight it just ended up bending again. Great location in beach however not sure if that is worth the room issues.

First, the overall condition and maintenance of the building has noticeably declined. The property looks worn down and there was a persistent urine odor in several areas, which made the environment very unpleasant. Additionally, we were charged an extra fee for an additional guest, yet basic amenities were not provided accordingly. We did not receive extra towels, shampoo, or soap, which should be standard when additional guests are registered. The check-in process was also extremely frustrating. Even though we had already paid for our stay from Thursday through Monday, we arrived around 7:00 PM and were still made to wait for a room. After traveling, this was unacceptable and poorly managed. Another major disappointment was the false advertising regarding the brunch that is promoted by the hotel. The experience did not match what was advertised. Furthermore, the beach chairs and umbrellas are very old, worn, and out of place with what should be a quality beachfront property. The only highlight of our stay was the excellent service from your beach staff. Paulino and Miguel were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and truly the best part.

The internet didn’t work at all. The loungers on the beach are reserved for people who order drinks and food from the restaurant which isn’t mentioned when booking even though no one was sitting in the first 4 rows in the morning still reserved.

The room was NOTHING like the picture advertised on ********** and the “upgraded” room that the app states was “ocean view” looked directly into the window of the building next to it. No safe or refrigerator. First and last time. Definitely a miss for the amount of money I spent.

The Blue Chairs has an outstanding staff, they were friendly, helpful and always there to make your stay that much more comfortable. On 22 Feb 2026, we got stuck in Mexico for an extra week. The Blue Chairs manager told us that they would take care of us, and that is what they did. They kept us safe and allowed us to extend our stay at a reasonable cost. Thank you, Blue Chairs. We will be booking our stay with you again for 2027.
