Tropicana Hotel Puerto Vallarta

Resort was at a convenient as stated, photos of the actual room did not look like the photos that were published online, and it was dark and dingy, even though we requested a higher floor and a beach view. Furthermore, it is suitable for families and friends or solo travelers, any kind really, that’s were soft. It felt worn in like it had been used for a long while so I would not book a week with them but good for short haul stays. Some of the housekeeping staff were not as friendly as the people we met at front desk and breakfast options were limited, especially with the included breakfast package to certain egg dishes only

The location is good, the rooms are adequate, and the service is solid. The free breakfast is included, but nothing too memorable. Overall, it is a good, affordable Mexican hotel just a few blocks from the action. Lower your expectations a little, go with the flow, and you should have a good stay.

Absolutely gotta love the ambience of The Tropicana -- the pool,  the poolside restaurant,  comfortable bed,  balcony views,  and secure parking.  The only downside was the lack of a small fridge in our room;  the desk clerk ies.was reluctant to store a couple of blocks of cheese that we were taking home, and offered us a more expensive room with a fridge instead;  but eventually she relented.  With a fridge, I would have rated Excellent on Facilit

The roo. Had no view but O was told it was a standard room, others available with views. Beach area nice service good. Door around when closed do was wakened a bit when others entered there roo.after 11. Great access to everything g.

Hotel location is great but the staff wasn't friendly and the service was below average. The room has no refrigerator and the hotel has no ice machine nor serving ice. Breakfast is just ok, nothing wow.

It was a great experience and staff was excellent.
