"I don't usually post negative comments, but if this will help another traveler make an informed choice, I thought I'd let you know a couple of things. First, I booked a junior suite with an ocean view. The rooms are very nice and spacious. However, our ocean view was actually of telephone poles and wires and the thatched roof of the club across the alley. I admit, the ocean was in view, beyond these obstacles. Our original room was on the 4th floor and the first night our roof sprung a fast leak due to the downpour outside. It was mostly cleaned up and we were told to let the front desk know in the morning that we needed to move rooms. I would have thought that due to the inconvenience of having to re-pack everything, that they would have given us an upgraded room. Instead, they gave us a junior ocean view suite on the 3rd floor with a closer view of the wires and rooftop. This room also had only one patio chair so even if we wanted to sit out on the patio, we wouldn't have been able to together. The resort itself has nice amenities."

"The hotel is simple, the location is very good, everything is close, but the beach is not accessible, there are a lot of rocks, and it's not comfortable. The included breakfast is American, bread, coffee, and fruit. It's not bad, but I expected something better even if it came at an extra cost. The room we were given was very small, so we had to ask to change."

"We upgraded to the Family Suite of three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Every single service person we encountered on the property greeted us with a smile. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. You are right on the ocean. The beach restaurant is excellent and has nightly entertainment with an exceptional vocalist as well as dancers and gymnasts. The on site sit down restaurant had the best gourmet food I have ever had for three meals daily. There is 24 hour room service available as well. The pools were very clean and heated well. The Kids Club had a variety of well thought out and executed activities for all age groups. The kiddie pool was very safe. There was a live Aladdin show while we were there that was so enjoyable for all, then activities after. The daily housekeeping as well as the unit being stocked daily with snacks and beverages was also exceptional."

"We stayed here for a couple of nights after spending a week in a resort so we can explore downtown easier. The hotel is very clean, good breakfast. The bed is comfortable and the shower has good water pressure. The only problem I have is the AC, it is weak. The lowest it will go to is about 77F, and it is noisy. If you turn it off it will heat up pretty quickly. If you are a light sleeper and likes your AC, don't stay here."

"Everything about the hotel Mousai exceeded our expectations. The rooftop infinity pool was a highlight for us with a wonderful social atmosphere. All staff were exceptionally well trained and provided top notch service. We requested a small repair of a bathroom scale, which was completed within five minutes. The room was exceptional with a large infinity hot tub on the deck. . The food was excellent and garden tour was impressive. We would definitely stay here again, with perhaps a few days in Zona Romantica, as it would be fun to be close to some activities. The location was a bit remote but perfect for a staycation"

"As for the location, you have to take Uber from Daun. The facilities are old and not that good. It also has a bit of a musty smell. It's all exclusive, but it tastes better when you buy it outside, so keep that in mind. I recommend it to any resort that wants to feel the Mexican atmosphere. It was pretty."

"VERY, VERY difficult to find this hotel. It’s at the top of a SUPER steep hill. No signage. I had to wave down a police car to help me find the address - even they went the wrong direction at first but eventually they figured out where I needed to go. Getting large/heavy luggage up the steep hill was a major struggle for me and I’m in good shape/fit. There is nothing nice about the location of this hotel - sad neighborhood and felt run down, poorly taken care of. Not near tourist spots, no restaurants nearby, difficult to get Ubers here. The fact that they didn’t even bother to post basic signage for guests says everything you need to know. Do NOT stay here - you’ll regret it 110%."

Friendly Fun Vallarta Different Experiences
"The hotel was disappointing. The rooms are old with poorly working air conditioners (temperature won’t drop below 25°C), and there are many minor issues (clogged sink, non-working sockets, barely functioning door handle). The cleaning was poor and done late, with sand on the floor never being cleaned. The pool is constantly overcrowded. It’s unbearable to sit in the hotel lobby because it’s stifling due to the lack of air conditioning. The room cards break constantly; I had to replace them about five times. The beach is nice, but the sea is dirty and swimming is unpleasant. The food is edible but very monotonous, the same thing for all 9 days. The only positive is the friendly and smiling staff. I didn’t find any more advantages and won’t recommend it."
