I was a bit worried after I read reviews of this place but I found it clean, well-equipped and convenient. The bay offers the most amazing sunsets, there’s a bus stop for the Pula bus just outside the gates, a small supermarket on site and 2 or 3 places to eat without leaving the site. The reception was open 24 hours a day. As a single traveler, I felt perfectly safe on site at all times. There’s a nice pool for kids or sunbathing (you pay for loungers but I’ve been used to doing that in Italy and Greece) but when the sea is just below, I rarely bothered. There’s no denying that architecturally the site is very 1980s eastern bloc but it’s well maintained, clean and I’m rather fond of modern concrete! Beware though. There are two companies who own apartments here. The ones under the Horizont brand don’t seem so well maintained. My Splendid apartment was large for a single person! The bedroom had 3 beds, wardrobe and drawers with a safe and access to a balcony with dining table, chairs and a clothes dryer. The kitchen living room had a sod, TV and dining table as well as a well equipped kitchen area. I only really used the kettle but there was washing up liquid and kitchen roll etc. the bathroom had a shower with good water pressure and a boiler to ensure constant hot water. There was a hairdryer too. I got a bus a bus from Pula to Rovinj for the day very easily and had a couple of boat trips where we saw dolphins.
