I have a great time at summerbay resort . the premium room is very confortable . the water here is crystal clear and awesome scene. the staff here very helpful. I come here alone for a relaxing trip . feeling happy and cheer . will plan to come back agin with friend and family for next year trip

The reservation team were very good and helpful but once you get to the hotel, they are not geared to western guests. I usually only write a review if I have 5 stars to share but this was so dismal and it just does not cater for much outside Chinese tourism. Having travelled Malaysia extensively, Many other Malaysia establishments are far better suited. The location and island are lovely & beautiful but we should have done more homework. Yes it’s fun trying local food, but after a number of days canteen quality food gets a bit much. At breakfast the host keeps letting people in despite being no space so it’s very overcrowded. Dirty used plates are left on tables for ages across all eating locations throughout the day. Tables are not cleaned - they’re sticky every time. It’s quite gross. The staff struggle with English - and don’t try to listen to help. Despite certain arrangements being made at time of reservation and noted on our reservation - it’s like a bulk drive through here of people and the staff don’t check. Causes mass confusion. There’s very little control. Adults & kids screaming in the pool area (which all rooms look onto) until midnight. It’s a real pity as the location is very nice. The dive team were good (Sean, Je, Kai) and we really enjoyed that, but the rest of the place I would avoid and consider other beautiful Malaysian locations.

Great vacation. Wonderful team, beautiful island, awesome Dive center. Kin, Elston, Kai and Anne are excellent and passionate instructors! Lots of fishes and corals to experience. Highly recommended for families or anyone wanting to learn diving.

I recently stayed at Summer Bay Lang Island Resort and had an incredible experience. The resort is beautiful and clean. The staff were warm & welcoming. The food is fresh & delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Can’t wait to visit again!

Omg their staffs are so nice ☺️ Especially the girls in reception their so friendly and helpful, appreciated them for looking back my jacket 🙏🏻 i highly recommend for those planning for a solo trip Hopefully I'll get the chance to get there again🥰

The experience was absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we were completely satisfied with our meals every day. Snorkeling was amazing fun, and we saw so many colorful fish. The entire trip was absolutely perfect, and we couldn't have been happier!

Nice quiet island for a short break. Private stretch of beach where one can snorkel and see fish close to the jetty. Rooms : 5 stars ..only snag were the pillows. Too soft. We slept badly. Food : way below par for the 5 star price being charged. Not tasty, lacking in variety, high GI and high in saturated fat.Need to upgrade the quality. Well organised with arrival and departure of guests. Private jetty is a welcome change with covered parking. Resort catering for China tourists. Mandarin spoken 85% of the time. Staff do not have hospitality traits.Many do not even smile! They just get their job done. Reception staff not attentive and do not go out of their way. Suggestion: organise beach clean ups once a week for 30minits and include your guests. Many wld be willing to join in the clean up. Encourage staff to speak in Malay and English, for the benefit of other guests.

Summer Bay Resort is very professionally managed and run. Beautiful location. We had to postpone our trip from 6 months ago due to a family health crisis with an elderly parent. The resort had no qualms with allowing us to postpone the trip and handled it remarkably well throughout. We are a family of 4 and had a wonderful 4 days of scuba diving and enjoying the beach. The dining experience was also of a very high standard. We would highly reccomend this resort if you are looking for a short family getaway. A big thank you to the team at Summer Bay Resort. You guys look very motivated and enjoy your work at this resort. We will be back.
