"It’s a beautiful place on the island. We had a sea view room. So comfortable, with the sea views. The breakfast was not bad for the island. The service was okay but not great enough. The price is friendly. We have been lucky enough to see the beautiful monkeys and lizards front of our balcony. It was unbelievable to see them in the garden. The bay is so clean and beautiful 🤩"

"Superb hospitality from ALL the employees. They are all super friendly and helpful! Booked a Garden View room and it’s just perfect. Room and surrounding compound is spacious, quiet and peaceful. Though the food prices are quite expensive compared to the other stays. Location is located at the end of Long Beach and the crowd is lesser here too."

"The room was dirty and the facilities were outdated. There was no fridge, no slippers, and no hairdryer. The air conditioning blew directly onto the bed, and there were many mosquitoes with no repellent provided. The water heater didn't work well, and the wiring was old. The staff didn't clean the room for days, and as a religious hotel, alcohol wasn't allowed. A very bad experience."

"The room was okay in terms of cleanliness. However, upon arrival, I was greeted by a trail of ants running through the room. This was easily remedied with a little mosquito repellent spray on the doors; they apparently didn't want to come in through the huge gap. Unfortunately, the location is disastrous for light sleepers, as the local mosque is only about 50 meters away as the crow flies, and you are woken up loudly by the imam every single day between 5 and 5:30 a.m. To make matters worse, I had the misfortune of being placed on the second floor of the building facing the mosque, which amplified the noise level considerably, as there was virtually no soundproofing. For solo travelers, it's worth noting that getting from the Village to Long Beach (where there's a bit more going on) is extremely complicated, as you always have to pay for two people when traveling solo. So you have to constantly ask around to see if you can hop on an already full boat. The so-called "boardwalk" to Long Beach has deteriorated into an extremely difficult-to-walk and overgrown 45-minute "jungle walk" due to years of extreme weather and neglect by the residents. It's also not without its dangers, especially without proper footwear or in the dark. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all, it's better to book accommodation directly on Long Beach until significant improvements are made in all areas."

"Blown away! The facilities are all brand new, the environment is superb, and the service was top-notch. The hotel has its own pool – one for kids, one for adults, and a romantic beach that's absolutely stunning. If I get the chance, I'll definitely choose this place again. The boat transfer to and from the island is very convenient, and they even deliver your luggage straight to your room. Breakfast was incredible, with such a wide variety of options. All in all, a five-star rating!"

"The package on Ctrip is all-inclusive, and the food is average, just okay. The good thing is that in addition to the three meals a day, there is also afternoon tea, which is quite rich. The accommodation is divided into family rooms and double rooms in the VILLA area. Everyone is very friendly. When you arrive at the ALUNA store at Besut Pier, you don’t have to worry about the luggage. ALUNA will arrange for the luggage to be delivered directly to the room, and another staff member will guide you to take the boat. There are small sharks and fish at the door of the hotel, and the snorkeling is also great; the sea activities in the hotel are from 10 AM to 1 PM, and there are three snorkeling spots. There is RAWA Island on the small island north of Perhentian Island. It is great to see clownfish, etc.; from 3 to 5 pm, you can see turtles and babies Shark, there was a thunderstorm in the evening when we went out to sea, and the water was a bit turbid in the afternoon, but the activities were better in the morning; there was a sunset cruise from 6 to 7:15, but we didn't go out because of the thunderstorm that day. The hotel had a painting activity from 3 to 5 pm, which was also very good. Be careful when walking around the hotel. We once encountered a snake, a very long and thin snake, and quickly ran away. When you check out, you leave your luggage in the room and a Porter will come to pick it up, so you don't have to worry about your luggage at all. When the weather is good, you can vaguely see the Milky Way at night. The hotel is very quiet, completely different from Redang Island. I like Alunan very much."

"Fabulous location right on the beach with jungle as a backdrop. Not the cheapest place but lovely end to our holiday. Everything in the hotel was lovely and exactly what we needed."

"The stay was great and hassle free especially if you arrive at Pasir Panjang jetty (Long Beach) then it’s just a few minutes walk to the reception. Room was great but not exactly a wow affair. Daily replenishment of canned drinks and some snacks by the housekeeping service. A few complaints: The wifi in the room was horrible because they had multiple SSID and some of them did not work. Even going from the bedroom to the balcony require finding a different SSID. I suggest that the hotel hire a proper network tech who can advise on getting a unified Wifi SSID. It’s 2026. The technology is already there. Also the A/C compressor is placed at the same vicinity where you would sit so the blowing hot air was like a sauna. Suggestion for improvement: Put in water dispenser so that you don’t need to provide too many plastic bottles per day. I’ve seen some hotels and resorts doing this so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility. Just imagine how many plastic bottles being disposed everyday for such a small island. Overall, great little hotel/resort with nice view and excellent, modern architecture. There were just some niggling issues and practices that could easily be fixed, in my opinion."

"Ok hotel for scuba diving, price was relatively in the average bracket compared to other hotels Only issue is that that part of the island has billions of mosquitoes. If you have O blood type you better prepare anti mosquito spray all day and night or avoid the island 🤣"
