Hotel Ilaia

A comfortable, small hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. The room is very spacious with good quality linens. Up the hill from town so nice and quiet but within walking distance. Good breakfast! Many interesting things to see in this historic city and the hotel is well situated for walking.

I love everything about this hotel! Our group of 3 had a wonderful short stay. The hotel is cozy and clean - every staff member was so friendly and helpful. Do not miss the rooftop lounge with wine and information about the region. Tea and coffee in the lobby area, breakfast and lots of great suggestions to enjoy our short time. I would love to revisit this unique and special hotel.

Excellent value. Spotless, comfortable and friendly. 10 minutes walk from downtown. Great breakfast. Staff speak English. Fabulous sitting room on roof of property with 360 degree views of Punta Arenas and Straits of Magellan. Would stay here again.

This is a charming little hotel. It is simple, yet comfortable. Room was a reasonable size. No air conditioning, so windows need to be opened in the summer. Breakfast was good. The staff is very friendly. They arranged our airport transfer. Lovely lookout room on the top floor.

The hotel is delightful and the staff could not have been more helpful. The room was simple but very comfortable and light. We had an amazing power shower! Breakfast is traditional including lovely warm bread and chapatis. It is in a quiet location and easily walkable to restaurants and a supermarket, probably about 20 minutes to the main square. Punta Arenas is built on a grid system so it's easy to find your way around, the hotel have a very useful map as well. Tea and coffee, and fruit available all day. There is a strong eco feel with lovely decor made from recycled or repurposed items, even simple touches like paper bin liners rather than plastic bags. We arrived very late after a delayed flight and someone was there to welcome us. The staff also advised on restaurants and booked us a taxi for our return trip to the airport. Highly recommended.

We were here for just 2 nights. Such a wonderful welcome, everyone was so welcoming and interested in our trip. Made us feel very special. Lovely healthy breakfasts. I love all the inspirational positive quotes around the place. The decor is simple clean lines, and very calming. We loved the rooftop view and the glass of wine provided each evening. Room was comfortable, clean, again modern unfussy and very relaxing with excellent shower facilities. Convenient for short walk into town.

This was a beautiful and calm stay. The young man who checked us in and showed us around was absolutely lovely and accommodating. The room was beautiful and clean with a great view of the city. The rooftop terrace and room was so nice and relaxing. We would highly recommend and would 100% return.

Nice little boutique hotel overlooking the city of Punta Arenas. Walking distance to the city center, the restaurants, the cemetery and the museum. Good place for one or two nights either before a Patagonia cruise or if you’re using the city as a base for Torres Del Paine. No restaurant but the breakfast is the best we had in Patagonia with excellent products and a personal touch from the breakfast chef.

This is a small hotel with only a few rooms which we loved. Nicely redone and updated and very comfortable beds. The entire staff, all shifts, was some of the most friendly and kindest staff we have seen anywhere. They made us fell very welcome and at home. Breakfast was great, especially the fresh squezed orange juice. Parking was a littel limited and tight but worked out just fine.
