Hotel with a spectacular view, everything clean, very good breakfast, great pool and friendly service. On the other hand, the hotel is already a little old and needs renovation, the elevator could have automation and the room could be renovated, especially the bathroom. bad shower

We recently stayed at Club Hotel Casa pueblo December 27, 2024-January 1, 2025. To say the least, this was the worst hotel experience I have had in over 20 years. It is clear your hotel makes all efforts towards special/private events and upkeeping the museum to generate money. The hotel has absolutely no service towards guests. Upon arrival our room was filthy. Dirty floors and used toilet paper in the toilet. When we complained they moved us to a new room, which was a bit cleaner (after waiting deveral hours and wasting half the day). Floors were still dirty and our 2 year old stepped on a piece of glass cutting his foot. The cleaning crew NEVER cleaned the kitchen and only removed the trash one day out of the 5 days we were there. They took away dirty towels but didn't replace them. We found a laundry bag with towels by the door way. They left a full dirty trash bag by the front door of our room. Dirty dishes from the kitchen were not cleaned. The maintenance person left a small can of paint and a utility knife in our bathroom, which was discovered by our 5 year old- a big safety problem- this could have lead to yet ANOTHER injury (either a cut or one kid could have eaten the paint). There is a very concerning electric code violation in the bathroom. You have the hair dryer connected directly to the outlet right next to the shower. This is a BIG code violation and can lead to deadly electrocution. Lastly, on new years eve we did not plan to attend the private event at the hotel. We were told by the front desk that the dining room would be closed for the new years eve event but we can order room service. When we called for room service to feed our 2 small children, they said they were closed. When we called the front desk they said "sorry we made a mistake. If you want to order food you have to pay for an event ticket ($200 a person). We had to drive 30 minutes to downtown to look for 1 of 3 fast food restaurants serving food without prior reservation with 2 crying hungry kids. On top of everything, when we asked for a manager there was NEVER a manager working at the hotel. Either you completely lack management or you tell customers paying over $700 a night this so you can avoid face to face responsibility for these inexcusable conditions. THIS IS ALL UNACCEPTABLE. We have travelled to many countries and have never had such a terrible experience, especially with kids. I have never left a bad review or have reported a hotel in my life

Expensive, trading on its location A big tourist trap with naff pay to ‘watch the sunset’ and peer at the hotel guests. Bad management, poor communication. Terrible food in the restaurant. Nice view.

Pitifully! We went to have tea! We walked through the door with our poodle! We are there, they attended to us twice, everything was normal and then the security guard comes up and informs us that you cannot be with pets! It is not published on the website, nor is there any poster, a regulation from another time! we don't come back

The hotel is old (80s) and has 2 terrible, moldy elevators and nothing is accessible in the slightest. Let's start with the bathroom in the old room, which has no ventilation, only one light bulb and needs new taps and utensils. The room is spacious but everything is also very old, the wardrobe has mold and the TV is tiny. Furthermore, you will not find available outlets. The minibar is from the 70s and like everything else, very moldy and in very poor condition. If you still want to stay here, the restaurant is very expensive and bad. Breakfast is modest and with few options, in Brazil there are many simple inns that offer something better. If you still think that the experience wasn't good, my husband was bitten by fleas that were in the bed linen and the hotel didn't even recant, they just wanted to change the sheets and they just wanted to put some poison on the mattress. They didn't even want to change the room... This in accommodation costing 2000 reais a night is absurd. If you are looking for a sunset, there is no shortage of that in the region and you can even use the viewpoint next to the hotel which is free and take photos. I felt compelled to show these points because the other reviews were focusing only on the landscape and the hotel experience is weak!!!

Excellent location, one of the best in Uruguay. Iconic traditional construction. Wonderful architecture. Ideal for rest and relaxation. From this complex you can see the best sunsets in the world.

The place is only worth it nowadays for its location, history and energy. It is very poorly maintained: dirty pool, water on the floor in the hallway, fiberglass pool with patches and damaged, a lot of uncontrolled humidity in corridors and bedrooms, little hot water in the room, cheap water in the room. There is no parking and you must park on the street in front. Due to the museum, sometimes the car is further away. The view from the room is beautiful.

Everything was perfect. From the reception, to the apartment, beautiful, comfortable. Delicious breakfast. The hotel is a work of art. The attentive and polite staff. The gardens and pools are beautiful. We love everything. The museum is beautiful. The big star, the sun.....and the sunset, spectacle. Very tasty restaurant. It's worth every penny, I didn't even see any flaws.

Beautiful hotel! Beautiful view! Amazing service. The only complaints are the elevator, which is very old and cannot be counted on, the shower stall is small and it is a little confusing to get around there. Otherwise, an excellent hotel! Perfect for family, honeymoon etc. However, zero accessibility for people with physical disabilities

The truth is that it is a shame that they have the hotel in this state since it is like an icon of Punta del Este, nothing to highlight. Everything in poor condition, from the bathroom, broken, worn, unpainted furniture, old and worn towels. The bedding is in a sorry state, it is better not to talk about the mattress. We booked for 4 nights, we only stayed for one, no one asked anything when we checked out... the worst

Excellent Everything very neat, the attention of the staff 10 points. As a non-critical suggestion, it would be ideal to try to plan access to the beach from the garden without having to cross so many stones. Greetings

I loved! It's lovely! It has a beautiful view of the sea, the hotel itself is a beautiful view. The restaurant's food is very delicious. The pools are comfortable and the water temperature is ideal. Excellent atention. The rooms are a little old, but it is part of the hotel's architecture, the bed I had was not very soft. But still, the view rewards everything. There are mosquitoes, so I recommend bringing repellent and closing the windows until it gets dark. It is very close to a viewpoint and also close to Punta del Chileno (whale tail sculpture) and you can go by car to Punta del Este which is very close (12-15 minutes)

The hotel was built by the famous Uruguayan artist Paez Vilaro on a cape near the large international resort of Punta del Este! Sea breeze and sun 300 days a year make your stay here unforgettable! The most impressive thing is watching the sun go under the water at sunset! On the terrace where all the vacationers gather, you can listen to the poem Farewell to the Sun performed by the artist himself!
