Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar - Adults Only All Inclusive

Was at the adult only section and the food was amazing . The buffet was outstanding and the staff was super helpful

The food was excellent. The staff was very grumpy and seemed they did not like to work there. Very unfriendly. Talked very fast and were hard to understand and didn’t care. Most times we gave up trying to communicate. No one was helpful. There was no explanation of where anything was and no maps. There were no pool activities or even music by the pool. When there were, it was just the staff dancing. It also started at 4:00 when everyone was going in for the day. Not a fun atmosphere. Had good massages at the spa, but got an “age defying” facial and all it was was a face massage. She didn’t even wash my face! No scrub, no mask, just a lot of oil that I had to go back and wash off. Room was great, clean and maid service was good.

We thought that we would pay extra (Ambar is like 3 times more money then the cheapest one Bahia has) Unfortunately it was not worth it. The food was mediocre, the drinks were not tasty. We stayed at Majestic (which is right next door) two years ago and it was 10 times better. The staff was not attentive and they charged us 25 dollars for 1 hour extended stay!!! We will not be coming back to this place.

First timers; we were impressed! Staff exceeded expectations. Almost no missteps. Beach was beautiful, pools were outstanding. Not at all crowded. I highly recommend. We will try other of their properties.

Loved the property as a whole, clean, friendly, lots of food options, and pool/beach area very nice.

This is my first vacation experience in Dominicana. Considering many factors, as well as live and online reviews, I chose Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar. It turned out to be a great hotel. It far exceeded my expectations. The hotel villas are waterfront, large swimming pool with jacuzzi, 6 restaurants with excellent food. Wide selection of food for breakfast and lunch. Very hardworking and friendly staff. I especially want to admire the entertainment team. They do an amazing job. This is truly a piece of heaven on earth. My family and I are very happy that we chose this hotel. I found virtually no faults after spending almost a week here. I highly recommend this hotel and will recommend it to all my friends. Make your choice and you won't regret it! It's worth it! Oh, I almost forgot. Be sure to visit two restaurants on site: "Portofino" and "Limbo". It's a piece of Italy and France in Punta Cana, and it's incredibly tasty and really delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bahia Principe Ambar. Our building was a very short walk to the pools and beach, which was a plus. The staff was very friendly and incredibly accommodating!

Overall an average experience. The food was good and staff were friendly. The beach was ok but way too small. By 8am, all the chairs were taken by towels and there is not enough waterfront. What ruined our experience was the transport back to the airport. Do not use the company the hotel recommends (Coming2). They were an hour late picking us up and I had to call 3 times before they finally showed up. Based on the google reviews, this is a common problem at this resort. Overall, would not recommend this resort. We’ve had way better experiences at other resorts.
