Madhusmruti Homestay Puri

We stayed in this hotel from 25th Nov to 27th Nov. They dont have any SEAVIEW rooms.I had booked a front view room well in advance but in reality it was a ROAD VIEW room rather than SEAVIEW room. Pros 1.The hotel is at a walkable distance from sea beach. 2.Food is quite tasty & delicious. 3.The priest they provided ( Mr Raja )was very down to earth and nice person Cons 1.No proper room service after you check in. 2.No intercom facility in room.For any help you need to call ***ager from your mobile. 3.Very stringent dining time. Breakfast : 9am -10am. Lunch : 1pm -2pm. Dinner : 9pm -10pm. 4.Rooms are not maintained properly . 5.No hot water is available although during booking the website showed its available.If u need hot water u need to inform the reception well in advance.A guy provides a bucket of hot water in your room. 6.Staffs are extremely casual.On the day we went for puja they assured us that we would get breakfast if we come back by 10am.We came back by 9:45am.The kitchen staff callously replied that he had no idea regarding our arrival and so breakfast would not be available. 7.No elevator is avaioable. 8.No TV is available. 9.Wifi is available only in reception area but not in rooms. 10.No toileteries are provided. Its just a basic hotel.

I found all reviews are old here. Now benfish puri is going through a complete makeover. Work is still going in some of the rooms and some of the rooms are ready. I took two rooms in second floor. Rooms are nice and fresh. Attached toilet were very clean . Room floor were cleaned everyday. All stuffs were very helpful. In house restaurant serves excellent bengali food. As of now there is no ac room Or lift but work is going on for lift and ac installation. I would certainly love to stay here again.
