Chanakya Bnr Hotel

We booked the hotel thru *********** and before we arrived we were sent a message thru *********** that our reservation would be cancelled in spite of providing credit card details. We would therefore have to pay theu a link provided. I went to the link which asked me input details and then provide an OTP for a large sum in Kyrgyzstan currency. I exited the site and combined to *********** and the hotel and received no response. Upon arrival at the hotel pur reservations were intact but when I tried to meet the General ***ager the request was declined. I finally spoke to the front desk ***ager and expanded the situation. He denied any such message sent by the hotel so I showed hi. The messages as well as my email complaint. Not received he said. I resent it then but nothing appeared on his screen. I sent a blank yest msg and that immediately appeared confirming my suspicions that their email was compromised. No real concern was shown by the staff so we continued with our stay. The stay itself was lovely and although we asked for the heritage rooms they were not given to us in spite of them looking unoccupied. It is a lovely property but my faith in both *********** and the hotel has taken a real hit and I would not put it beyond the hotel staff to be also involved in the hacking of the site. Incidentally the hotel wifi also shows up as compromised and so we declined to join it. The swimming pool is lovely and so is the food.

Had a pleasant stay in this heritage property for a single night. One of the best property in Puri. The rooms have been freshly renovated and very spacious with all the amenities. Parking space is adequate to accommodate several vehicles. The restaurant has wide range of sumptuous food. Overall, had a royal experience staying in this property.

SPECIALLY THANKS TO MR. SAMAY , MR.JAGANNATH DIXIT , AND MR. PAWAN KALYAN, for whenever we needed to be there for us, my friend recommend me for this hotel specially huge rooms , goot amenities and very friendly staff, and lots of things , but my experience was something different if I go deep through then 1. Old property with good maintain. 2.houskeeping staff needs lots of thing to learn like how to behave, telicom service, timings of cleaning the room . 3. samay was doing a great job for resolving our problem as quick as he can . 4.food was good and the service was best , Jagannath dixit was so humble and polite every time when we need specialy in that time when my mom had a fever, best explanation about Puri dham and lord Jagannath, And also for giving us so much time and recommending so ***y continental and Chinese dishes, 5. Room sevice was good but just because of Pawan Kalyan , he was also there in resturant in some time and giving best service as he can Apart from him there was 2 more Room service boy who don't have any knowledge about food and they even don't know what they get for us , they behave like we are burdened for them, 6 . Restaurant desk incharge who don't have bit of knowledge about about menu and says that I work here for 10 years , some time when jagannath was not there , mainly in dinner no one come to our tabel , very bad All through I gave 5 star only for few things which written.. we will definately come again just because of them . Hope chanakya ***agement will work on there few but large scale problems.

Lovely experience, very good property, quiet location, nice pool, best food in Puri, very pleasant lawn and greenery as you enter. Over and above the personnel are so nicely and kindly behaved that this reminds us what a hospitality industry should be like! Kudos guys. We wanted to stay here as I have heard from my mom that the chief Civil Engineer while this hotel was built was my grand dad - that’s our special connection. The food I have to mention again was the best in Puri surely. The small negative was there was problem while checking out as none of our ICICI cards were accepted and I had to go to the nearby ATM to get the cash and pay.

Stayed from 3rd to 5th February. We received royal treatment from the entire team led by Mr. Sanjog at BNR Chanakya in Puri, in the Royal Saloon. Large, spacious rooms and bathrooms and sincere, smiling service staff. Large spread in the complimentary breakfast buffet. The restaurant serves multicuisine fare, but Continental takes the cake. The hotel organised for airport pickup and drop, and local and nearby sightseeing. The car was clean and comfortable, with a friendly driver.

Very comfortable stay. Clean rooms. Very attentive team at The Dining Car restaurant. Chef and the entire team made things to order for the breakfast buffet and special dishes for a family occassion. Looking forward to ***y more stays in the future.

We used to visit this lovely heritage hotel quite frequently. The old charm with modern amenities always fulfils our expectations, staffs are well trained and obedient. Food is tasty with lots of options. We recommend this hotel to ***y and all are satisfied.

Lovely one night stay at this hotel. Well-located, comfortable with very kind and welcoming staff. Huge bedroom, good bathroom, excellent dinner and breakfast. 5 minute walk to the beach. Good parking. Well maintained property. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful heritage hotel. The staff is also very good. I like the way they named each room after a railway station name. Looks like freshly painted and well-groomed gardens. The food is also very good. Breakfast can be improved by having some local cuisine. Washrooms near the restaurant are not maintained so had to tell the staff to clean them. it was full of mosquitos.
