Tui Magic Life Kalawy

It was a full of pleasure stay. We stayed for 5 nights. In morning a lot of activities on beach & pool. A beautiful spot for snorkling & diving. Wind surfing and canoeing was a nice experience in the lagoon (Thanks Khaled) Dynamic animation team. In nights, everyday has a show with different vibe. They celebrate my birthday in a nice way. All staff were smily and helpful. Excellent experience looking forward to our next one in Magic Life Kalawy 👍

Very stunning and clean resort with gorgeous flowers and well kept landscapes. Staff were terrific, very hardworking and always have a smile on their face. Food was good, lots of variety with the buffet changing every night, there is always going to be something new to try. We went to the Egyptian restaurant and the Asian restaurant - a bit disappointed with the lack of options however the food was still really good. Seamless transport from the airport to the resort taking around an hour. TUI staff were welcoming and tried to solve any problems. The daily activities and events were amazing, especially the foam party and the Oktoberfest beer festival. Only downside we had to the holiday were the external scamming businesses that won’t stop harassing you until you either put your foot down and say no or give in and spend a ridiculous amount of money on a trip/activity you can find online for 75% the price. We had really bad experiences with 3 men offering boat trips, camel rides and the man who owns the perfume shop onsite the resort who pressured us with cunning tactics to almost force us into buying overpriced perfume. Do not interact with these men as they are only looking to drain your money and they are all smiles and politeness until you say no. Finally the cats, thousands of them and all so cute and friendly!

We visited TML Kalawy in July this year, having been extremely impressed with the listing and the range of activities promised. Unfortunately, we didn't find that it matched up to everything we hoped for, and I don't think we'll be back! Firstly to put everything in context, the hotel itself is absolutely stunning. Located as a bit of a green oasis in contrast with the desert surrounding it on three sides, the accommodation is of a good standard and there are various pools, bars and restaurants to enjoy, although the highlight is almost certainly the opportunity to explore the reef at the end of the jetty. The staff were also absolutely excellent, with nothing being too much trouble and when we had our room cleaned (we went for once every 2-3 days - these guys work hard enough!) it was always done to a very high standard. The food ranged from very good to OK depending on what night it was; sometimes you'd go into a large griddle cooking mountains of fresh prawns, other nights it could be a bit of a struggle to find anything which looked appealing. The standard of drinks wasn't too great although it depended what you were after; the gin and tonic from the beach bar was barely drinkable but others were OK. We went to a TUI all-inclusive resort in Mexico a few years back and the drinks in Kalaway weren't a patch on that place. We were disappointed with some of the activities offered, as when booking we'd narrowed it down to two resorts, and we paid the extra to go to this one as it seemed to offer more such as scuba diving, canoeing, wind-surfing, paddle boarding and plenty more. In truth there were about 7 paddle boards for the resort and if they were out you just had to wait, no option to windsurf unless you had a licence (or pay for lessons) and scuba diving was limited to a 3 minute taster session in the pool after which you had to pay 500 euros per person to train for a licence. Perhaps this was all in the listing but we certainly didn't see it, and an extra 2500 euros on top of the price of the holiday wasn't an option! The entertainment on offer was also pretty poor; the 'white party' was - perhaps unsurprisingly - just an evening where people wore white clothes and didn't seem to vary apart from that. The shows were all fairly average, and the open air cinema seemed to show the same films during both weeks with no variation at all. Again we've been to other TUI resorts which have done a much better job of delivering on this, and I'm sure it's no coincidence that most people just headed to the main bar in the evenings. The main bug-bear though was the daily fight to try to get anywhere to lie down. There was absolutely no policing of the sun loungers and unless you'd got up at dawn you were unlikely to be able to find anything until around 2pm. Some of the other guests were extremely entitled too, believing that not only had they reserved the space they were in but also a 3 metre radius of them too in case they wanted to move at a late

The thing what makes this place so good are the staff. They were all so helpful and friendly. Our room attendant (Abaualfadl) couldn’t have done more to make our stay better. His towel sculptures were amazing, he did a different one every day for our 10 days. He kept the refrigerator stocked with our requirements every day and was regularly asking if there was anything else he could do to help. There was plenty of pools to chose from whether you wanted activities, chilling time or sea views. The only issue we had all holiday was one of the servers at the slide pool was handling raw meat the making salads and cutting bread without changing gloves. This could do with addressing as no one wants a stomach bug when on holiday. We did the Luxor trip with Tui. Even though it’s a long day it’s well worth it. It would be a shame not to go when you’re a few hours away and the sights are amazing. We also did the quad biking and the was a great adrenaline rush. We went through the desert to a Bedouin village. It was well informative and a great day. Maybe not for the faint hearted though. Overall this was a fantastic holiday and we’d definitely go again.

We were at the hotel from 6 to 13 September 2025. The food was luxurious, the selection was perfect. It is true that the umbrellas by the pool and by the sea, including the mattresses, would deserve a renovation. Dirty and torn. Accommodation was decent. What I didn't like was the number of cats, whose breeding is probably not regulated by anyone. I don't mind animals, but they are very harmful to everything. Wherever we went, there were cats. We have been to the hotel about 6 times and now there were really a lot of them. The main thing was the stench of the cats. They are annoying in the dining room and on the balcony in the rooms. The sea is clean and beautiful. I praise Amar and Hamad from Chill Tours. Beautiful trips on quad bikes and on a yacht. Thank you.
