Grand Regency Hotel

The Regent Hotel is by far the most satisfying of the eight hotels I've stayed in during my three trips to Qingdao. Not only does it have a solid 5-star foundation, but the front desk upgraded me to a high-floor Executive King Room upon check-in, which further boosted its value for money. Aside from the bathtub filling up a bit slowly, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Even on the 20-something floor, the hot water was quick, and the wardrobe had both thick and thin bathrobes. The hotel staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Since I can't find any faults, I'll keep it short. If the lower-priced room types can offer the same comfortable experience as my stay this time, I would definitely be willing to stay at The Regent Hotel again on my next visit to Qingdao. Plus, the lobby is beautiful, and the location is convenient. There's also a fantastic restaurant called Baibu Ramen right across the street from the hotel that's worth trying.

Facilities: The facilities are old, the shower pressure is weak, and the air conditioning isn't very effective. Breakfast is rich and delicious. Cleanliness: Very good Environment: Very good Service: The service is warm and attentive, especially the lobby managers. Also, the pet-friendly room was decorated with great care. It would be great if they could open more of these rooms; we almost couldn't book one this time.

If your cat is a bit timid, I recommend turning off the bathroom light when staying in this pet-friendly room. That's because the bathroom light switch also controls the exhaust fan. The fan makes a noise when it's on, which can scare some cats. My kitten was too nervous to sleep the first night. After I realized it was the fan noise making her anxious and turned it off, she happily played in the room the second night.

The location is fantastic, right outside the subway station, making getting around incredibly convenient! The decor is very luxurious, and the hygiene conditions are excellent. The elevators are super fast, and the front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dining is also very convenient, and the restaurant staff are wonderful! From now on, whenever I visit Qingdao, I'll definitely choose the Regent Hotel! Amazing!!

I was very satisfied with this stay, ( ´͈ ᵕ `͈ )◞♡( ´͈ ᵕ `͈ )◞♡ it was great! The hygiene was clean and tidy, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options~ The lobby clock chimed during breakfast, and it sounded lovely! The lobby manager initiated communication, and the staff's attitude was exceptionally good, very satisfying! They even gave a small gift for the Year of the Horse 🎁, they put a lot of thought into it ٩(๑^o^๑)۶

My kids stayed here with their university classmates and said the environment was great. Most importantly, it's very convenient for transportation, making it easy to get to any attraction. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Qingdao.

The front desk staff were absolutely amazing on the day of my stay. I arrived early due to personal reasons, but they still managed to get a room ready for me. During my stay, I wasn't feeling well and had a fever, so I borrowed a thermometer from the hotel. The staff even proactively asked if I needed any further assistance, like some plain congee. Although I felt a bit awkward asking for more, I was truly grateful for their kindness. I'll definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Facilities: This hotel has been around for many years, and its facilities have a more traditional style. However, it's clear that the staff do a diligent job cleaning; public areas and contact surfaces in the rooms are virtually dust-free. It's exceptionally clean compared to other hotels in its class. From the honor wall and photos on the ground floor, you can see that as a long-standing luxury hotel in Qingdao, it has received many accolades and hosted numerous foreign dignitaries and public figures. Their management is truly trustworthy. The hotel is very close to the sea, just a ten-minute walk away, and it's located in the city center. This makes it very convenient for visiting shopping malls like Hisense, as well as May Fourth Square and seaside parks. Hygiene: The hygiene is excellent. The room was tidied up beautifully every evening, and the staff were very considerate. Service: We stayed with our pet this time and received wonderful care. If you're not a pet owner, there's no need to worry; you won't be disturbed. Our room was a corner room on the lowest floor of the guest room section, ensuring no disruption to other guests. We also minimized our time using the guest elevators. The hotel provides semi-enclosed pet strollers (with ventilation windows and a cover that can be fully pulled down, so it won't affect other guests), uses disposable bedding for cleanliness, and assigns fixed rooms for pet owners. The room even included a pet toilet, pet toys, a pet bed, and a water bowl. Although the toys and cleaning supplies are charged, they are very reasonably priced. They're clearly provided for owners who forgot to bring pet toys, which is incredibly thoughtful. Upon check-in, they verified vaccination records and quarantine certificates, showing great responsibility. The concierge and reservations departments were very professional and answered all our questions during our initial phone inquiries, meticulously noting every request. They truly show respect for both families traveling with pets and those without. I hope this hotel continues to thrive, and I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Qingdao.
