Waiyu Boutique Hostel

Clean and hygienic! Great service! Hidden away in a mountain B&B, the breeze is gentle, the rooms are quiet, and life slows down, offering high privacy! The environment is soothing and healing; you could relax here all day long and never get bored. The B&B's setting is so comfortable, peaceful, and elegant, with stunning panoramic views of the wilderness.

I came here specifically because a friend recommended it, and I really loved the overall environment and facilities of Waiyu. It boasts unique natural scenery, offering a secluded retreat perfect for a relaxing getaway. I stayed during an off-peak period, and it felt peaceful and pleasant with not too many people around. The guesthouse building is a renovated old forestry station house, featuring charming red bricks and rustic original wood that blend perfectly with the natural surroundings and lush greenery. Compared to the impressive environment, the service and attention to detail really need improvement, especially for a guesthouse positioned as a high-end boutique property. I found hygiene issues in the room upon check-in (which were later resolved), and some room facilities were damaged (couldn't be fixed on the day of check-in). The welcome fruit and pastries felt a bit perfunctory, and the room only offered tea, no coffee. Even the tea caddy lid wasn't properly sealed… The concierge who welcomed us on the day of arrival also didn't proactively ask if we needed help with our luggage (we believe this should be standard procedure for a boutique guesthouse). The overall communication felt unenthusiastic, unhelpful, and unfriendly, as if they were just completing a task, lacking a personal touch. Communication with the restaurant staff during breakfast was also rather cold. While I really love the environment at Waiyu, there's a noticeable gap in the guesthouse's service and sincerity, which left me somewhat disappointed.

The decor style is lovely, with exquisite and tasteful furnishings. The entire place was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and it was exceptionally quiet at night, ensuring a great night's sleep. The common areas were also well-maintained, showing care in every detail. The courtyard/view was absolutely stunning; every photo I took looked beautiful. All the appliances and daily necessities were provided, and the layout was well-thought-out, making it feel just like home. A perfect experience. The cleanliness was exceptional; not a speck of dust even in the corners. The lighting and ventilation were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, far from the hustle and bustle – perfect for a leisurely getaway.

🏺 My overall review of this hotel is: All style, no substance. Here's why: 1. As a boutique B&B, the exterior and location are undeniably beautiful. However, if the thousand-yuan-per-night price tag is solely for the aesthetics, the value for money is very poor. 2. Regarding the facilities, for a place meant for sleeping, the hotel has excellent bedding, but why are basic soundproofing and blackout features so terrible? The spotlights on the ceiling shine directly into your eyes, and you're woken up by the light in the morning. The sounds of various small animals outside the window are so loud it's like they're right next to your ear, making it impossible to sleep. 3. Accessing the hotel requires contacting the front desk, which can cause delays. However, the front desk's responses are timely. I suggest generating a temporary QR code for guests to enter and exit the hotel; it would be more convenient for everyone. 4. The breakfast selection is limited, and while I won't comment on the taste, it certainly doesn't match the price of the B&B. I hope the hotel can prioritize guests' sleep needs by adding blackout curtains and improving soundproofing facilities. Don't waste such a great resource.
