Lavande Hotel (Beidaihe Tiger Stone)

The environment is excellent. As soon as I walked in, staff offered me water – the service was fantastic! I checked in early and was able to check out close to 2 PM the next day because I had a train to catch. There was even a feedback card in the room, which was a really nice touch.

It felt pretty good, great value for money, especially since it was less than two hundred at the time. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have parking, which isn't very convenient for those driving.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach, just a 10-minute walk to Tiger Stone (Laohushi) and other free beaches. The room comes with an air purifier, which is necessary as the room can get musty without it. However, it gets quite noisy when running at night. Cleanliness was acceptable, though the bath and hand towels were quite worn. The bed space was good, making it quite spacious for two adults and two children.

The room was a good size and very clean. They even provided disposable toilet seat covers, which was an incredibly thoughtful detail! It's only 700 meters from Laohushi Park, and the hotel also thoughtfully offered free beach toys – such a nice gesture! There are plenty of restaurants nearby too, making it super convenient!

Service: The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly. She assisted us with our luggage and thoroughly checked the stroller for us when we rented it. Her service absolutely deserves full marks. Facilities: The room felt a bit small, especially compared to the 40-square-meter rooms we had at two previous hotels in Chengde. With our substantial luggage, our elderly companions found it quite cramped. Additionally, despite the air purifier running, both of our two rooms had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. Parking: Parking was a bit challenging. Although staff members were available to guide us to a spot, parking spaces directly outside the hotel entrance were very limited. Environment: The surrounding area is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, a real escape from the hustle and bustle. Getting to the beach was also quite convenient. Overall Recommendation: If you're traveling light, not driving, and aren't particular about room size, I would personally still highly recommend this place.
