Very cool place. Deep into the desert, some of the other camps are close together/ by the road. The staff are lovely - don’t forget to check out the stars at night! They have two friendly cats and goats even! The rooms are great, highly recommend!

Salman Zwaidh Camp in Wadi Rum delivered an incredible Bedouin experience that exceeded my expectations. The staff's warmth and friendliness made me feel at home from the start. The highlight was the amazing Bedouin-style dinner, offering a true taste of the region's flavors. The desert tour was a standout, with knowledgeable guides sharing captivating stories. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional charm. What set this camp apart was the genuine hospitality of the people, who shared valuable tips and created a memorable campfire experience. For an authentic Bedouin adventure with exceptional conditions, friendly staff, and a stunning location, Salman Zwaidh Camp is a definite recommendation. A short stay that left a lasting impression.

Very comfortable beautiful camp i loved every moment of my stay at salman desert camp. I got picked up and brought to camp in the jeep where I met Salman later I got to explore wadi rum desert by jeep where also met some local bedoins and enjoyed some tea around a fire. In the evening we shared a traditional meal cooked in a zarb (bedoin bbq) which was delicious. I only planned to spend 1 night but due to the beauty of being deep in the desert and Salmans hospitality I ended up extending my stay. Thank you Salman and staff for everything 🙏

Our host fetched us from a carpark/meeting point, driving us to on a 4x4 to the camp. As we missed our lunch, our host quickly prepare some simple cheese in flatbread, and sweet hot tea for us - complementary from Mr Salman😊 Then, off we drove into the dessert to explore all delightful spots at Wadi Rum for the cost of JD80 per jeep, for 3 pax. Our guide pointed to us the special views, and which included a rock-climber half way up the top. Our guide entertained the 2 ladies with tying of headscarfs the traditional style😍 We were glad to have signed up for the special Bedouin dinner for JD10 each... So delicious is the main, and dinner comes with pilaf rice, salad, sweets, and of course their hot sweet rosemary tea. The main dish is cooked in it own juice, under fire in a pit, covered by the sand to keep the heat in. After dinner we gathered around the fire and watch the stars. Way out in the middle of dessert, the camp is really quiet at night. Solar powered (green & smart) and lights out by around 11pm - advisable to bring a small torch. Overall, a delightful experience for all of us.. A mountainous red deserts and Bedouin hospitality at its best.

Hi All, we stayed at Salman's camp last week and we truly recommend it to everyone. The camp is located around 7km into the dessert with no other camps around so no noises or lights to disturb you. Each tent/ cottage has its own bathroom, electric socket so if you need to be connected to the civilzation you will be. Everything was clean and tidy and you could get as many blankets as you want (really warm blankets!), none of us woked up at night due to cold and it was like O Celcius at night outside (you can always also wear some thermal clothes. The food served was delicious and too much of it for sure:) Salman will pick and drop you from the parking inside the reserve. Salman (the owner), the chef, the driver and the other worker are very kind, polite and they respect your privacy and no one is trying to take over your relaxing time. In the evening you can spend time if with them by a bonfire having unlimited tea:) If you choose to take a jeep ride - the driver will go extra mile to make sure you have a great time including taking pictures of you in the best spots; no time pressure from him either. 2 female adults and a teenager - we felt looked after and save! Please bear in mind you are on the dessert - don't expect a hot bath jaccuzi inside your tent!

This camp is a true hidden gem among the big variety of desert camps in Wadi Rum! Salman and his team are the nicest people ever and will make extra sure that you have everything you need without disrespecting your privacy! The camp is located between two mountains and it feels like you are alone in the middle of nowhere far from civilization, which is a pretty cool experience. The nights are soo silent and filled with stars! All of the traditional Bedouin tents have private bathrooms with a shower and you won’t be cold at since you can have as many blankets as you ask for. Oh and the view out of the tents is phenomenal! You‘ll have the chance to book a Jeep tour or sunrise/sunset camels rides according to your wishes and the guys will be happy to advise you without pressuring you into booking something :) All in all an amazing experience that I can really recommend to anyone, from solo travelers to families!

Hidden between one of the many rock formations Salman Zwaidh holds a limited amount of camps which automatically makes the location not just serene due to its location and the perimeter where its based but moreover due to the limited amount of people. Dining and sharing conversation underneath the star filled sky, waking up early morning and going for a 5 minute walk up the adjacent rock formation is a true gift and privilege for any of the visitors. The crew was nothing less of outstanding, generous, helpful and kind. The traditional cooking together with the extra ingredient of hospitality delivered impeccable taste both in the evening as for breakfast. Having had young Awad guiding and driving us through the desert in his turquoise colored Toyata pick up truck, brought us a great amount of exhilaration as also pleasure whilst enjoying infinite sights to see and indulge in. Anyone seeking for solitude, pleasure, nourishment of any kind. This is the place you would want to stay at.

The camp is simple but amazing. The staff is super friendly and the food served tasted very good! After dinner we hang out with other travellers drinking tea by the open fire, as it gets quite cold at night. The heaven looks truly amazing without any surrounding light pollution. In the morning we woke up, and hiked op the rocks for a beautiful sunset. The breakfast was simple but it had everything you’ll need to start your day off. If you want a nice authentic stay in the dessert, this is your place to stay.
