Citywell Hotel (Quanzhou Food Street)

The service was great and the location was convenient; you can just ride an electric scooter to the ancient city. The breakfast was rich and convenient, and there's a snack street right outside with everything you could want. Everyone *must* try the Quanzhou steak – it's delicious and affordable!

I booked two rooms, and the photos showed an inner window, which I thought meant it was just obscured. Turns out, it was essentially windowless... Luckily, there was an air purifier, so the air quality in the room was decent. The location is also pretty good; there's a food street right outside, and parking is available.

The hotel is right in the old city, within walking distance to all the attractions. The suite I booked was great and offered excellent value for money. Quanzhou is truly a city for foodies, but unfortunately, the elderly person I was with couldn't eat seafood, beef, lamb, or chicken, so we ended up having ginger duck every day for a few days – though the ginger duck was genuinely delicious! The main attraction, Kaiyuan Temple, was too crowded for us to enjoy. We also tried to visit the famous Tianhou Temple and Deji Gate, but the navigation app couldn't lead us to the correct path, and after a few frustrating attempts, we lost interest. That was a real shame. It's a great place to come for the food though.

Excellent stay! The breakfast spread was fantastic with a wide variety of options, and I loved the self-service tea and coffee in the lobby. The hotel's location is perfect, really close to all the main attractions. The soundproofing in the room was great, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep, and everything was spotless. The front desk staff, especially the lady who helped me, was amazing – super responsive and helpful with any request. Five-star rating for sure! This will definitely be my first choice when I visit again. 😊

Superb! Right by the old town, making it incredibly convenient to get everywhere. The ground floor has a lovely area for reading and tea, and there's a pool nearby too. Stayed for three nights and it was excellent. Lots of great food options around as well. Highly recommend!

The front desk staff, particularly Xiao Feng, was very warm and attentive. The hotel was clean, and the service was excellent.
