I compared many B&Bs and hotels on Ctrip and chose this one. 1️⃣ The location is very convenient, right next to the Guanyu Temple. There's a small white car downstairs that takes you to various parts of the ancient city. I was worried it would be noisy with so many people burning incense outside, but the room was very quiet. It's also close to restaurants like Stan Ginger Duck and Liuhe Shacha Hot Pot. 2️⃣ The owner and staff were very helpful. They stood up to greet us during the meet-and-greet, shared travel guides, and even reminded us to see the evening performance at the Guanyu Temple. It was very nice. 3️⃣ The room was very clean and spacious, with enough space for two people's luggage next to the double bed. Aside from the disposable toilet seat being a bit small and difficult to put on, it was basically fine. I would definitely recommend it to friends or family if I were to visit Quanzhou next time.

When I came to Quanzhou on a business trip, of course I had to visit it as well. Since time was tight, I made a special effort to research and choose this great location. I didn't expect the hotel to be so beautiful and the service attitude was so good. It just so happened that they also gave away free electric bike rides, and I would like to thank the boss for giving me the guide of ”locals avoid taking the detour and visit more attractions”. It took several hours from lunch to the evening (emphasis: riding an electric bike saved a lot of time), and we visited quite a few famous Quanzhou attractions in the surrounding area (🈶Fuzhou Confucian Temple, Qingjing Mosque, Guandi Temple, Pan Palace, Shuimen Lane, Tianhou Palace, Goldfish Lane, Zhongshan Road, Tongzheng Lane, Hua Lane, Bell Tower, West Street, Kaiyuan Temple, Chengtian Temple, Chengtian Lane). We had some delicious food (Stan Ginger Duck, Miss Xiaozhuangzhuang, pickled fruits, meat bird's nest soup, Aunt Zhuang's taro cake, Pangong braised noodles, four-fruit soup) and the surrounding areas are all time-honored brands that are very delicious. I had a blast and ate a satisfying meal. Thanks again to the boss for the great guide!

This hotel is located right next to the ancient city. You can just cross the road and hop on the 'Xiao Bai' bus, which is super convenient. When exploring the ancient city, the 'Xiao Bai' bus is definitely the most convenient, fastest, and most cost-effective mode of transport, bar none. Guan Yu Temple, Qingjing Mosque, West Street, and Kaiyuan Temple are all within walking distance from the hotel. Although the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, there are many breakfast shops downstairs, all serving authentic Quanzhou specialties. I highly recommend the拌面 (ban mian) and扁食 (bian shi) across the street to the left of the hotel entrance. The hotel staff were very friendly and always happy to answer any questions. It was a very satisfying stay.

Donglu Tianqingshe GuesthouseQuanzhou became renowned worldwide starting from the Song Dynasty. Drawing inspiration from the charm of the Song Dynasty, Tianqingshe blends into the ancient city, which has been listed as a World Heritage Site for thousands of years, presenting the most beautiful aspects of Quanzhou to every friend who comes to visit, tours around, and loves Quanzhou. There are "Three Wonders" in the ancient city of Quanzhou. The first is about sightseeing, appreciating the unique features of the ancient city; the second is about the taste, embarking on a culinary journey on the tip of the tongue; the third is about the atmosphere, the "murmur of daily life" that still lingers in the streets and alleys above the ancient ruins. These "Three Wonders" embody the original intention of Tianqingshe to ensure that every friend can have a wonderful time in Quanzhou. Located within the ancient city, it is a great place to "sightsee" the ancient city. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the Temple of Guan Yu and Yue Fei, 8 minutes to the Confucian Temple of Quanzhou Prefecture, 10 minutes to Chengtian Temple, 18 minutes to the Bell Tower on West Street, and 25 minutes to Kaiyuan Temple. Moreover, authentic Quanzhou delicacies such as rice noodle paste, beef dishes, pickled pork, peanut soup, etc., waft their enticing aromas from the alleys adjacent to Tianqingshe.Starting from Tianqingshe, you can witness that the residents living in this millennium-old ancient city are still leading their lives in their own way. It seems that the passage of a thousand years has paused here and never really left. This is the most typical "murmur of daily life" in Quanzhou.Every friend staying at Tianqingshe will be presented with a hand-drawn travel map by the local boss, which serves as a guide to avoid pitfalls in terms of dining, entertainment, shopping, and other aspects.

CChasel yijieOur stay in Quanzhou was very satisfying. When in Quanzhou, West Street is undoubtedly the best choice for accommodation. While there are many guesthouses on West Street, Lushi stood out because its attention to detail made us feel we made the right decision. First, it's conveniently located at the intersection of Xinhua North Street and West Street, easily accessible by taxi or local 'xiaobai' cars. Second, despite being in the ancient city, stepping inside reveals a whole new world: a parking lot, outdoor spaces, an internal intangible cultural heritage exhibition hall, and a rooftop viewing spot for the East and West Pagodas – it has everything. The staff were also wonderful. On our first day, we arrived early, and a front desk staff member provided a handwritten tour map and detailed recommendations for breakfast nearby. Another front desk staff member helped our child write a letter to themselves and played with wax seals for a long time. Our second-grader said, 'It doesn't feel like they're just playing with me for money' (LOL🤣). Since we booked late, we had a projector room the first night and a bathtub room the second. Both rooms were clean, and the welcome fruit and mini-bar were well-stocked. In the bathtub room, candles, matches, and disposable tub liners were all thoughtfully provided. Oh, and the book 'The Submarine at Night' on the bedside table – it perfectly matched my taste, hahaha.

MM36929****The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right by Zhongshan Road in Huaxiang. It's super close to all the main attractions like the Bell Tower, Chengtian Temple, and Kaiyuan Temple. Getting around with the little white buggies is also convenient, with plenty available at both ends of the alley, and sometimes drivers even come right in. Our building even has an elevator! There are a few steps at the entrance, but the staff were quick to help with our luggage. The online customer service was very responsive and helped us with several issues during the winter solstice. If you're worried about getting dropped off too far by taxi, it's best to contact the hotel beforehand to confirm the drop-off point. We took a detour ourselves, but it turns out if you go to the Quanzhou Hotel parking lot, it's only about 100 meters from their back entrance. The alley itself is full of charming little shops perfect for browsing and shopping. There are also many small eateries, and even though their review scores might not be the highest, they're popular. For higher-rated restaurants, you can easily walk to them.

GGraceThe hotel is great! Though there are times when you can still smell cigarette smoke from the vents, it is still very good overall. They also gave Chinese dessert for 2 nights, which we enjoyed and appreciated a lot. A shout out to the front desk 志强, who recommended some good eats around Shishi.

YYixiangshenghuoI didn't expect that this homestay in Quanzhou Ancient City would be so good. First of all, it is in the ancient city. You can get anywhere by bus or car. The owner and his family enthusiastically introduced how to play and how to eat. The accommodation is also comfortable. We drove here, it was easy to park, and the parking fee was cheap. The owner also provided us with breakfast. It was very friendly and happy to drink tea and chat together. Quanzhou Ancient City is good and has the characteristics of southern Fujian.

LLauren 红月I spent 6 nights at 2208. It had been saved on my Trip.com for many months before my summer holiday, so I was happy that they had availability for the week I planned to visit. In order of importance for me as a solo (foreign female) traveler are: location, safety, and helpfulness of staff. 1. Location: I think the location is perfect. It’s on a small alley behind West Street and directly across from Kaiyuan Temple’s west gate. This area is very central and convenient. 2. Safety: Overall, the city is safe, but in reality it is nearby a main tourist destination, so to prevent non-guests from entering there is a gate with keypad access for late night. There was always staff inside at other times. 3. Helpfulness of staff: There were some language barriers due to my lack of fluency, but the staff tried to help as much as possible to make sure I was comfortable. If there was a problem it was resolved quickly and if I didn’t understand, they were patient and tried to explain it another way. Other than these things, I’ll say there are actually two 2208 buildings in the same area. One has a view of Kaiyuan Temple from some rooms and from the rooftop; the other seems more modern but without this view. There is cleaning service available if you need it and free water bottles daily. If you are looking for amenities such as a television or breakfast, maybe this is not a suitable option, but if you want a place to sleep nearby the best sites in Quanzhou, and have friendly staff greet you each day, then it’s a good choice.

AAnonymous UserRoom was really big, and although it was further than I expected, its still of a walkable distance from the airport. Room was big and had plenty of space! Cleanliness wise was actually pretty alright, EXCEPT the toilet. I think it was mentioned by another reviewer that there is a very strong smell i think coming from the drain. It really hits you in the face whenever you open the toilet door, so im quite affected and reluctant to use the toilet lol. But luckily the toilet and bath are separated, so I think if you close the toilet door its still fine. I just hold my breath when opening the toilet door. Also its still bearable for me since im only there for 1 night (im in quanzhou for a 24 hour layover), but otherwise the smell is really not for long stays, so I would say considering the price I paid (and the proximity to the airport) its still an acceptable stay BUT if you're staying there for longer I would recommend looking for other hotels! (Which is a shame really because I like staying in large rooms normally and i think i dont have high standards for my stays as long as its clean, and this room is pretty spacious)

GGuest UserArrived at the hotel in the evening, the front desk warmly received us and upgraded the view room. I gave it a thumbs up manually👍The room was comfortable and spacious. There was no hot water on the second night. I called the front desk and the response was very quick. A technician came up to check it soon and said that it would be fine if I ran cold water for a while. The only thing that can be improved is that the shower room can be equipped with a towel rack or hook for clothes and towels. Otherwise, it is a little inconvenient to open the door to get towels and clothes after taking a shower.

YYas_miniNot sure if this hotel is independently run or under the park in brand. The checkin and check out and getting left luggage just took forever. The staff were not friendly, no uniforms were worn, no welcome was given . Nothing was even said when I checked in. I was given a room that was clean and tidy. However the first night being a Saturday I was kept awake by the thumping sounds of the nightclub and the screaming sounds of KTV bar which kept me up all night. Then at 6 am the construction started digging and grinding. I asked to switch rooms and the next room was smaller . Somewhat clean. But it over looked the roof of the building where the aircon machines were which was absolutely loud. The breakfast in this hotel was abysmal . Not much western food or vegetarian options. Except over sugary cereal and toast with no toppings. Every morning the room was filled and mosh patrons wasted half of what they took it was disheartening to see soo much food waste. The breakfast fruits were also always finished and nothing was being replenished. The chairs and table were dirty and stained. And I’m not sure the type of hygiene that went on cause no staff wore any type of uniforms. The coffee machine was dirty with finger marks and the overall cleaning was just poor. Skip the breakfast it was loud and in there and I saw guests sitting with the feet on the chains and kids sleeping all over the place. The location is not very convenient it’s a bit of a distance from the west street and buses are not frequent but the bus stop is right outside. The restroom in the lobby was also in a very poor state when I wanted to use it. Again it is 2025 why are wel allowing smoking in public establishments! The halls smelt like smoke and one day my room a non-smoking room had a stench of smoke coming through the vents. The daily house keeping was also suspect, one day the toilet was cleaned and floors mopped the next. Seriously , not sure if it’s actually is a radisson or what. But overall the room was clean and tidy. Staff can be trained on positions of the rooms.

EEmily YingThis homestay is superb for me and my family member from Malaysia. The location is great and the pin location is accurate is u grab car from Didi. This homestay can grab Didi anytime. The shop Opposite hotel is 老字号马蹄酥&黄衍明口腔科 as later i will put picture for ur reference. Then u follow the signboard go in the alley then can find the homestay. The owner of this homestay is super helpful and friendly. As my luggage damage in airport, owner help me to get a new luggage online and get it just within a day. The homestay even provide us disposable towel ,face towel , tooth brush and tooth paste everyday. And no need worry about shampoo and body shampoo too. Hassle free and can bring less item if u stay in this homestay. The hotel location is great to grab breakfast and supper too. Some within walking distance restaurant I will put in photo. And 小白车u can take from this homestay to many travel attraction just rmb 2. All in all, this homestay is good value for money and i would like say thank you to the owner of this homestay for the pleasant stay during my trip. Definitely we will come back again Quanzhou just want stay in Lanxin courtyard only.
