Lomond Lodge Motel & Apartments

Fabulous service..lovely staff who are hard working and so welcoming. Thx so much to Victor and your colleagues. First room was small but we knew that..but v clean, well appointed..and bed sooo comfortable. Fab bathroom and powerful shower!! We got upgraded to a fab upstairs unit with views and a little balcony.. no extra costs, and as above, super clean and extremely comfortable and roomy. Easy walk to town. We loved it and would recommend and stay again . Thx team . 🌺🌸

Our bedroom was a tiny windowless box with very little storage or space to move. It should be illegal to rent a bedroom without a window. Other than that, which is pretty awful, the location was convenient. Plenty of other places that are just as convenient that have better bedrooms, so be careful before staying here. It was an expensive mistake.

The bed was beautiful and comfortable with fantastic views out over the lake. Very close to town centre and all the attractions all in all fantastic. Arrived late but everything was in order and a seemless check in even if it was only 5.00pm in the arvo.

Lomond Lodge was the perfect place to spend the weekend for my partner and I. It’s basically in the city centre and has amazing views of the Remarkables. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was nice and fresh, and everything else was very clean. Would recommend.

The Lomond Lodge Motel & Apartments is a nice small hotel located up a steep hill one block from the downtown. The hotel staff was very friendly at check-in. Given the small size of the hotel, the front-desk/office are staffed during limited hours, but available by phone. The room was comfortable and compact in size, but big enough if you do not need to spread out. On the weekend, we did hear music in the room from the clubs downtown. Our room was on the first floor with small view of the lake and the road. We may trade the view for a room on the backside of the hotel if it’s quieter. We got one of the 5-6 reserved parking spaces in front of the hotel. The parking space was small and someone parked on the line making the space even smaller. One day, we came back in the late afternoon to find someone parked in our space. Despite promises by the hotel staff at check-in to have cars moved if someone parked without reservations, which they did not. The hotel offered to pay for the parking garage across the street, which would be a pain for moving our luggage. We resorted to looking for nearby street parking (parallel parking) with some local driver not being patient. They pulled up beside us and yelled at us. Thus, we did not enjoy the parking situation when our was space was occupied as the street in front of the hotel is very busy with locals avoiding the main road through downtown. Outside the one-time parking issue, we enjoyed the hotel’s proximity to down own. I have been to Queenstown three different times staying in three different hotels (one just outside downtown) and all were nice. I would be fine staying at any of them again with the only consideration whether I needed to stay in the downtown core and wanted to deal with parking.

Great stay- location excellent, view (top floor w/balcony) great, and friendly/easy check-in. Close to the action but just far enough to be quiet and peaceful- walkable to anything you may like or want to do. Comfortable beds. Recommend.

I cannot fault this place. The bed was ever so comfy, the pillows fluffy. The room was well fitted out with all amenities. Each floor had its own little ,kitchenette where you could turn out a decent meal. Location was very convenient - easy access to the harbor, the gondola, the shops, to the pick up point for tours and the terrific burghers at Fergburger! The downside was the roadworks that was going on which meant we could not keep the balcony windows open because of the dust. Parking on the roadside was not possible. We paid for 15$ per day for parking in one of the 3 or 4 slots they had right in front of the lodge. This worked well for us and was very convenient. Only issue was that because the booking was done through ***********, they did not have our credit card details. To guarantee a parking slot we were asked to share card details - via e mail or what app ( we live overseas). We were not comfortable doing this and we did not. We still had a slot on arrival.

Outrageously overpriced for what you get. If you love lots of signs about rules then this is the place for you. Nobody there after 4pm and a $150 call-out fee. Despite emailing them numerous times with queries I never got a single reply. This is a mediocre noisy and unpleasant place to stay. And I have no doubt that they will reply to this telling me that I’m the problem. Just wait and see! There are SO MANY better places to stay and either cheaper or with a far better location. Avoid at all costs.

We finished our New Zealand trip with 3 nights at this motel in Queenstown and loved our stay. Although not the biggest room we'd stayed in it was spotlessly clean and the big bed was so comfortable. The view of the lake and The Remarkables was amazing to wake up to and it was so close to everything without being noisy at all. The shower room was also super clean with a great shower and lovely toiletries and towels. The fridge in the room was very small but there was a guest kitchen which could be used if necessary. We paid for parking at the motel and used the spaces in the parking garage across the street, this worked well for us and meant we didnt have to worry about finding an on street parking spot. In fact once the car was parked we only used it once during our stay as everything was so close to hand.
