Absolutely stunning distillery and surroundings. The staff were fantastic especially Gabrielle and his informative whisky tasting. Rrat selection of whiskies, cocktails and beers. The gins look superb too. Didnt get to try the restaurant but it smelled superb. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Fabulous experience. The hotel was luxurious and comfortable, food was great and the staff could not have been more helpful. Just what we needed for a relaxing break. The weather wasn't brilliant but it didn't detract at all from the experience. We did the tour with the whisky, gin and chocolate tasting...it was entertaining and informative.

Our recent stay was excellent. A short ferry ride from Isle of Skye beings back that bit of romance which was lost with the building of the Skye Bridge. Our comfortable room had everything you need, including a generous amount of their Single Malt to allow us to enjoy a few free drams while enjoying the excellent view from our room. All of the staff were friendly and professional and the food was excellent. Our Tour and Tasting was very enjoyable and led by Gabriel who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Island, the Spirits and the ethos of the Company. A great ambassador for the company who can also mix a mean Whisky Sour cocktail which I enjoyed on our final night - well 2 actually. One word of warning if you are planning to depart on the 0955 ferry - make sure you have purchased any Spirits to take home the day before you checkout - as Scotland's licensing laws prevent this before 1000 - fortunately we have been able to take advantage of Mail Order for our order.

This was an awesome hotel, attached to a cool distillery, on the wild and beautiful Isle of Raasay. Pros: stylish, modern, cute little hotel with thoughtful amenities including a free dram in your room alongside yummy local shortbread cookies. Great views and location, walkable from the ferry and easy to stroll to the neighboring hotel for dinner (since our little hotel couldn’t provide dinner service every night). Breakfast (included with our stay) was delicious! I had fresh fruit, coffee, and a full Scottish breakfast. One thing I loved about this hotel was the guest lounge, a private room overlooking the sea with sofas and chairs, a fireplace, board games and an honor bar. We played Scottish monopoly and cards here before and after dinner. Adorable. Did I mention they offer a free distillery tour with tastings for hotel guests? I did the one with a chocolate pairing upgrade and it was great. So happy with our stay here.

Arrived on the early ferry on Sunday morning and as check-in wasn't until 4pm took a trip along to Calum's Road which I highly recommend for some breathtaking scenery. Upon arrival back at the hotel we were treated to a tour of the distillery which was included in our stay free of charge which was a very nice touch. The tour was very informative and as well as taking us through the whisky and gin making process provided us with some background into the ethos of the distillery (the fact that the distillery and hotel now employs roughly 30% of the island is to be commended). Our room was beautifully furnished and had an amazing view of the Cuillin mountains on Skye, and even came with a complimentary bottle of Raasay Single Malt whisky! Again a very nice touch. The highlight of our stay was dinner which was served in the gathering room, again with beautiful views back towards Skye. We were presented with a 6 course tasting menu which was very reasonably priced for the quality of food and its presentation. I would honestly struggle to pick a favourite dish as they were all delicious but the rhubarb & custard dessert was exceptional. As some previous reviewers have mentioned, the location of the distillery & hotel is fairly remote, with the only way on and off of the island being by ferry. However I feel that this absolutely added to our experience, with the unspoilt scenery of the island providing an amazing backdrop a relaxing night away. All in all the distillery provided an exceptional experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend a stay.

This is without doubt a jewel in the Scottish malt whisky crown; it may be a small jewel but burns as bright as any other. I visited with family to collect a small cask which had been bottled and uniquely labelled but was first time I had stayed at the distillery. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like royalty; as all visitors are. The changes to the distillery are fantastic and the tour as good as always with the wonderful Gabriel explaining everything in a knowledgeable and entertaining way. As distillery of the year no need to ramble on about the quality produce but each new edition brings a pleasant surprise. Accommodation was beautiful and the shortbread and complimentary whisky were all well received. The staff are so knowledgeable about the product and island and their enthusiasm adds to the experience. Dinner was off the scale and we all thoroughly enjoyed including my dad who is a fussy (less refined) diner but chef managed to produce an ‘off menu’ dish that he loved. I have dined in many restaurants and this was up there; fresh local food cooked to perfection. Was a trip that will live long in our hearts and can’t wait to return. Only thing I would ask Santa for the distillery is a decent coffee machine but again just a minor observation. Thanks to all staff for making it so special and as well as Gabriel a shout out to Alex who went out of his way to show us where our cask had been stored and enthusiastically educated us all on the skill of casting the local nectar. Above and beyond as always.

Very nice place, we did the Distillery Tour & Tasting, our guide was very nice and happy to answer our questions with great passion for this distillery. I am so sorry I can't remember his name (It was Aug, 11th and the fellow was young with a beard and long ginger/blonde hair). Just a couple of suggestions: - We visit with our two teenage daughters, I understand they could not taste Whisky but I guess you could improve the kids experience with some smelling or other ideas not to "exclude" them :) We wanted to have the chocolate tour but there were no more chocolate :( - We are french (nobody is perfect:)), our english is ok, it was great to do the visit in english but as it is a production process with many technical words, I suggest that you could provide a leaflet with the key words and their definition along with the distillery flow, what do you think? And last but not list, fantastic Whisky, Good job!

Excellent! I'd give these ten stars if I could. We walked up to the hotel which was shut(why not put what your hours are on the notice in the window instead of suggesting people look online?)..so we walked up to the distillery thinking maybe we could persuade them to do a coffee...we didn't realise they now have a coffee shop. Whoopee..we had two coffees at an exceptionally reasonable £5, served by two very welcoming and friendly Scottish gents. We sat outside as we have a not reliably friendly dog but were invited in.,(we did miss the shelter that used to be there tho). On the way back from our walk we treated ourselves to dessert..omg..a party for my eyes and mouth, it was the best dessert I've had in my life(and I'm getting on a bit). It was so beautifully presented it took my breath away, and the flavours were divine. The young people serving knew their food and explained what we were eating with obvious enthusiasm. These lads should be held on to and the chef(note to managers!) The lovely friendly welcome and delicious flavours made my day. Absolutely splendid. Next time I'm going to have a main course too!
