Plantation Resort at Rainbow

Upon arrival we saw the Unit has not been maintained: loose metal at balcony, fridge cabinet broken, etc. But wanted to make the best of it. Then the staff came and screamed at us for still being in the apartment at 10:02 AM. We booked through a booking site, but they said we owed them funds. Manager made rude remarks and kept screaming! ! They said „they treat clients with respect”, but in reality they abuse clients. We fell sorry for the owners.

As a return guest I was extremely disappointed with my stay last week for my husbands birthday. I booked directly over the telephone. Unit 10 that we paid $329.00 per night for, was in disgraceful condition, cupboard doors falling off, swollen rotting walls, cockroaches in the apartment and rats trying to get in through the glass door. No access to Foxtel, which is advertised on their website, the room safe door broken, dirty neglected outdoor furniture and terrace areas among many other things. On checking out when I informed the reception of some of my concerns I was meet with total disregard and a very defensive attitude. Definitely no apologies. (I had, shortly after arrival raised some concerns with reception but nothing was attended to.) I will never return and also never again recommend to friends to stay.

I have also posted this review on Google Reviews. Have decided to post it here, as this maybe is an ongoing issue at this resort, that Travellers should be warned about I also stayed in that accommodation in a separate bed to Pratik (His review is on Google reviews) on that night, thankfully there were no "insects" in my bed. Further to Pratik's review. Whether or not a mattress has blood stains or some other stain. Whether or not it has a mattress protector on it is not relevant. The point is, to many travelers staying at "resort" standard accommodation it may be expected a mattress be in a better state than the King mattress from unit 10, as evidenced by the first video (I cant post the videos here so will need to go to my YouTube Channel @gavinbarr3441). When confronted about the "insect" issue in the bed, I would suggest the staff were rude and aggressive. (No doubt they will twist that around). I was somewhat frustrated as I appeared to being denied the evidence of eyes. The second video is also from the same bed (as to whether this is a Bed bug, is for others to decide). But what I would say is. In the Resorts response to Pratik they said the staff member noted a flying insect on the bed. Given the way we approached the insect in the bed, would not a flying insect generally take flight instead of crawling away? I emailed them advising that all I want is for this "insect" issue to be taken very seriously and proper measures put in place to deal with it. They did not acknowledge my Email. I would suggest staying well clear of this place until measures are put in place to deal with issues mentioned. P.s If the staff at the resort are going to deny these videos, videos have time stamps, which will correspond the with video I took of them in reception.

Horrific. The staff were nasty and aggressive, but will accuse you of being that, they will also gaslight you. We had "insects" in one of the beds. You can decide if these are bed bugs, through the first linked video. The bed had many stains on it, you can decide if it is blood with the second linked video. A bed in such a state, is totally unacceptable in Resort accommodation, even if it is covered with a mattress protector. Go nowhere near this place. By far the worst Hotel ive stayed at. .********************************************************** **********************************************************

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time we booked online and didn’t realise it wasn’t with the hotel. It was like an AirBnb room. The check in process is done through the Real Estate across the road and not the resort. We arrived on a Sunday so there wasn’t any staff at the agency. The staff at the resort wanted nothing to do with any questions we had such as parking queries and where our actual room was located. The lady at reception was quite defensive and said it’s nothing to do with them and kept saying she couldn’t help us as the owners decided to branch off and not be part of the resort. There were nail clippings on the balcony…gross. No spare toilet paper in the ensuite and half a roll left. Empty rolls and paper left in the cupboard above the toilet. No dishcloth to clean the dishes although they give you a tea towel and some detergent. Three tissues in the tissue box. This room was a little tired and needs some maintenance - towel hooks hanging off the wall, freezer drawer broken so hard to open/shut etc. Mostly little things but when you’re paying a higher price you expect these things to be sorted. The pool loungers at the main pool are gross. They look filthy and need replacing. A lot of these issues are minor but collectively they make it annoying.

I stayed in the penthouse 204. I rang initially to see what coffee facilities were in the room and she said she didn't know. She said there might be a plunger. I asked what size and she said she didn't know. Got to the place and it was immaculate inside but the outside was really dirty. The couch chairs were pretty outdated...those pleather single seat chairs plus a 2 seater. I wasn't put off by any of this really it wasn't until I went to use the spa bath that I got disappointed. I was so excited to have a soak. I got in and it didn't work. I tried holding the button down, looked for a switch on the wall, looked for an after hours number...nothing. I told the receptionist when I checked out and she said there was an after hours number at reception. That really wasn't any use to me at the time and I wouldn't have known that. I asked if there could be any compensation for that and she said no there was nothing she could do and to send an email. I sent the email and I never heard back. I was really disappointed as it was quite pricey and I booked it mainly for a luxury experience....I.e the spa. Really disappointed...
