We stayed at thre hotel last year. Old and quaking but clean and comfortable and with utterly stunning scenery. Superb food and wine cellar. Popped i. This year for dinner and standards I. The restaurant remain borderline Michelin. Bright young staff served us and the menu was refreshing and daring. The wine list is exceptionally good and very reasonable prices.

My spouse and I enjoyed an excellent brunch with a huge selection of an excellently prepared Danish menu. Fish, cold cuts, cheeses, pate, etc. The draft beer and Danish aquavit were excellent pairings for salmon and herring dishes. Atmosphere and service beyond reproach. The decor is quaint and some have described it as odd or unusual. All the china and cutlery are mismatched on purpose for effect. The hotel owner gave a welcoming talk about the history of the property. The location is stunning and a walk to the beach after the feasting is a must! Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Sarà pure un edificio storico, ma proprio per questo andrebbe mantenuto con un po’ più di orgoglio. E la pulizia non dipende certo dall’età dell’edificio. Qui la pulizia è sommaria e fatta solo dove si vede, il resto non lo prendono nemmeno in considerazione. Abbiamo prenotato una camera matrimoniale con balcone. Ci è stata attribuita una camera con accesso al “giardinetto” sul retro. Un retro inguardabile, con sterpaglie e deposito vario. La camera di dimensioni minime in cui due valigie ci stanno appena. Il bagno è inguardabile. Piastrellato, sembrerebbe, recentemente. Doccia a pavimento, nemmeno una tenda. Ti lavi e in contemporanea lavi tutto il locale. Scarico doccia pieno di capelli di chi ci ha preceduto, di riflesso inizio a guardarmi in giro, era meglio non farlo… La camera calda e senza nemmeno la possibilità di aprire una finestra. Siccome si tratta di camere comunicanti, divise solo da una porta, si sente tutto quello che avviene nella camera accanto. Unico punto che si salva, con sufficienza, è il ristorante.
