Villa Amore

We absolutely loved this restaurant. It has a stunning view and the staff were warm and friendly. We found it on the way to Villa Cimbrone. We sat on the breathtaking terrace snd had some local white wine and snacks and took lots of photos. They offer accommodation and we we lucky enough to look into a room, what a view! We will definitely stay there next time.

This is a small hotel with stunning views of the Amalfi Coast. The staff are welcoming and friendly with nothing too much trouble for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if holidaying in Ravello again would want to book Villa Amore.

Had a wonderful 3 nights in Positano prior to our arrival in quaint little Ravello to attend a wedding. We had booked a 2 night stay at Villa Amore many months in advance. I had sent many emails in the months prior asking basic questions about transport to airport, etc. In each email I reiterated our booking dates and confirmed that we had a (“a”) King Bed Junior Suite. The first two emails were answered, the one confirming our booking and one after confirming our transport to airport after our stay. I sent a handful of additional emails asking questions about various things such as hair dryer, cloths iron, possible shipping of items back to the states, etc.; none of those emails were ever answered. I began to become concerned about the lack of communication following initial booking and thus sent one final email again simply confirming our reservation. Again, no reply. Once we arrived, Antonio, the front desk clerk, immediately started informing us “you know you have two rooms, yes?” . . . and it went down hill from there. It isn’t worth explaining all the back and forth of him claiming he replied to my emails and I should check my spam (which I already had for months, no emails). In the end we were charged for two King Bed Junior Suites, much to our dismay. We became tired of arguing about it, even though we 1000% KNOW we were being taken advantage of, we finally just let it go as we didn’t want to let it ruin our short time in Ravello. We were given the choice of which of the two rooms we wanted to use and we chose to just stay in the first we were shown. As we were unpacking our bags, we noticed one thing after another about the room that was much less than desirable, including no working a/c! We found mold patches on the walls, ant colonies on the floor, broken light fixtures, lamps with no shades, broken door hinges in cabinetry, fire hazard situations wherein bare lightbulbs were resting against the curtains, broken entry door locking system mechanism, really disgusting. After a bit I started to thinking . . . if we are being charged for two (2) rooms, why don’t we have the keys to the other room ? It was right next door after all! So, we went to the front desk and asked Antonio if he was willing to give us any kind of break on charging us for the second room; and when he adamantly replied “no”, we demanded to have the keys to both. Low and behold, the second room was quite nice by comparison. We immediately moved into that second room. As far as the first room we were put in and chose to depart, I have photos of its poor condition that I will attempt to attach here (although I’m not sure it will allow me to) but the photos will show the condition of that room. We were forced to pay for both rooms for both nights, even in the condition it was. Long story, I know, but the moral is, be very weary of Villa Amore and certainly Antonio. Unfortunately we did not stay at Villa Amore but we did stop for lunch. Food was great, service exceptional and views breathtaking! Plus price of lunch very reasonable. Highly recommend a visit to Ravello and lunch or dinner at Villa Amore!

Hidden gem in a gem of Ravello. While the walk from the street to the hotel is about a 5-10 walk from the street...it's all worth it for what you get in return. The Hotel is beautiful with a staff the goes above and beyond. Antonio was there for me from prior to our arrival and during our stay. His staff is trained just like him. Breakfast was very good and you enjoyed it overlooking the water. Book early and be sure to book a room with a balcony. Priceless!

We stayed at this hotel for our friends wedding which was next door the hotel was clean the staff were all very lovely and the views were amazing! bare in mind if you are staying here there are alot of steps to get out of the hotel also there are no sunloungers or a pool in this hotel but they do have a little table and chairs outside of the room

Ravello sits on a cliff overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Once there it is not all that easy to move between towns. Having said that Ravello is not be missed and a couple of nights in Ravello are just absolutely wonderful. It is a beautiful town with incredible views of the Coast. So, when staying in Ravello pick a hotel with views of the Coast. We stayed at Villa Amore and it was fabulous. We had a room with a patio, Room 102, and it appeared there were only 2/3 other rooms with patios but the hotel had a general sitting area used for breakfast where guests could sit out and the view of the coast was simply amazing. For us the beauty of Ravello was enjoying the spectacular views and enjoying an Aperol Spritz or after dinner sitting out and enjoying a glass of wine while taking in the views. Our room was good and cleaned daily and the shower/bathroom was quite good. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet as was the entire hotel. So, very quiet. The staff, especially Enes, were wonderful. Enes was there to make dinner suggestions/reservations or obtain a car/taxi for our departure. Enes was also there in the morning to assist with breakfast and ensure your day was off to a great start. Cars are not allowed into the town of Ravello so when dropped off coming into the town or departing it is important to know if your hotel provides assistance with your bags. From the entrance to Ravello to Villa Amore is about a 10 minute walk up steps and narrow walkways but they offer a baggage service, 10 Euros per bag, and it is well worth it. They met us at the drop off, took our bags in their cart and led us to the hotel. Villa Amore serves a light lunch, we were out most days so did not avail ourselves of the lunch but they also serve drinks and we did enjoy sitting out at the end of each day with an Aperol Spritz with our wonderful view. We thoroughly enjoyed Ravello and our visit was enhanced by our stay at Villa Amore.

The shower head didn’t work nor did the a/c. Would not recommend this place. They advertise the price for car parking, but then the attendant double charges and won’t release your car until it’s paid.

Amazing broad views of Amalfi coast. Book the deluxe sea view room for a roof top private experience. Staff amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast option also very good and drinks on the terrace lovely in the afternoon. Villa Amore is private and quiet. It is away from the main square.
