Great restaurant and pub but forget about sleeping here unless you are planning on being the last to leave the bar or are extremely noise tolerant. It’s a shame as the place has a lot of character, but for me the main purpose of a hotel is to sleep.

There was 5 of us and we had beer crumbed prawns, calamari, Thai beef salad, chicken Parma and a lamb korma. I usually have a great distrust of such a mixed menu but the chef, Naresh, did a fabulous job of everyone of them. It’s in my top 5 of the best pub meals I have had. Vanessa let us take up a table in the back yard so that we could bring our dog in and she looked after us with charm and efficiency. I would wholeheartedly recommend this pub to anyone travelling in the area.

We travelled in North Queensland and visited lots of places. While they were short staffed and busy, they made us feel very welcome. Drinks were super cold, room was clean with newly fitted bathrooms. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Beautiful timber building apparently build from the family who still owns it today. Recommend it for a weekend away !
