Valamar Bellevue Resort

Bad food, drinks horrendous, no soft drinks aside from cheap syrup like drinks. Bursting at the seams with regurgitated Luke warm food. The restaurant is utterly disgusting and a challenge rather than an enjoyable experience. Avoid at all cost!

We recently visited the hotel as a family of 4 with young children (a 5 year old and a 6 month old) and I just wanted to say how brilliant I thought the hotel was. The staff in the restaurants and all over the hotel were always so happy and welcoming. Happy to help and we were always greated with big smiles whether it be front of house at the restaurants or the cleaners. The food was perfect for all of us. Great selection for us parents (and great tasting beer and wine on tap) but also perfect for a fussy 5 year old. They even have a baby section with a different puréed veg and boiled fruit each day which was amazing for our 6 month old, who we had just started weaning. The staff even cleaned up our big mess with a smile. The hotel is pram friendly and the walk to Rabac is a long promenade with lots of beautiful views and ice cream stops on the way. We had a family room with a sea view and it was spacious and clean. Thank you to the Bellevue for a memorable stay, I’m sure we will be back.

Beautiful hotel and modern. Views are stunning and lovely location, staff are really pleasant and helpful. Rooms are to a high standard. Very clean and tidy. Come here for a few days with family. Wine and drinks on all inclusive are good quality. Food in restaurant is a little cold but we arrived late. Tasty and good choice though.

Beautiful place with stunning views. The hotel was clean and well looked after. The only thing that let this place down was the food and restaurant! We was all inclusive but if you wanted certain drinks, you had to pay extra! There was only 1 restaurant inclusive unless you wanted to pay extra to use the other 2 restaurants! The inclusive restaurant was a buffet style! Breakfast was standard, but ok! The lunch and dinner were very poor, and it felt like you were having the same meal each day! There was a lack of evening entertainment, and we were not sure if it was cause we were at the end of the season as we are in September! You have 3 pools and a child pool! These were clean and tidy! Only the child pool and 1 of the bigger pools were heated. Also, it says you are beach side, but there is no beach, just some rocks unless you travel down the road to the pebble beaches

We decided to go here for a break as on paper it was a large resort, but actually all the hotels are separate as we found out later into the holiday. There were 3 restaurants and a themed one, but only 1 open as end of season ( not mentioned when booking) this restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner (albeit lunch & dinner same food except for the roast) there was no entertainment and we went to the next hotel for that, but had to pay for drinks as this was a separate hotel and our all inclusive wristbands were not accepted. This resort has walking - lots of walking and not much else. There is a bus for €2pp to go to next village Labin - well worth a visit if you get the early bus and return at 1.30pm. Rovini is an hour away and well worth a visit, the concierge will organise a taxi as going by bus would be impossible or you could hire a car and then parking is impossible. Taxi was €170 and well worth the money. The pools here are good, a heated saltwater pool (29c) and 2 other pools one of which the seagulls loved. Transfer to/from airport is approximately 50 minutes each way - we got a private taxi booked with holiday. On arrival we got upgraded room, very spacious with 2 TVs but the remote seemed to work on both and therefore a bit annoying as when you changed channels on 1 it changed the channel on the other. The all inclusive drinks were strange - a selection of cocktails all pre-made, local spirits,local beer and soft drinks. Water from dispensers and house red/white wine on tap. In the restaurant house red/white wine on tap, plus tea and coffee, beer. There was no Bubberly at breakfast like most all inclusive holidays. All in all a nice area to visit when the sun out, but we seemed to of had a odd week as the temperature was up in the high 30c for the previous 3 months and we had the crap week
