Hotel Parlamento

We chose the Hotel Parliament (also called Soneto) solely for its location, after examining the photos. There are other hotels with similar prices, but further away. Attention, the hotel is not in Providencia but in Recoleta. Everyone who lives or works in the region is afraid to go out after 6pm because they think it is dangerous and recommend a lot of caution. The region is deserted, it's worth finding a place near Pedro de Valdivia. *Attention* if you are renting a car, there is no parking and don't even think about leaving it on the street. Decolar's advertising says that there is parking, but when we got there we only heard a resounding “No” from the manager who was not at all helpful and so I had to make do on the first day. I went to leave the car in the public parking lot in Lastarria, there is no open parking nearby. Nearby car parks open at 8am and close at 6pm. Twice it was necessary to leave in the early hours of the morning, walking 1.5km to get the car, due to flight times that had already been closed, trusting that there was paid parking on site. I did this until I discovered, in the middle of the night, a shell station on the back street that allowed you to leave your car until 8:30 pm, but only pick it up at 7:00 am, in fact the price is soooo much lower than the other parking lots, which are very expensive. Photos of the room do not correspond to the advertisement, our room was in a corner with no light in the corridor, there was no view of anything, opening the window there was a kind of very run-down tenement, the bathroom was missing a glass in the tilt, that is, it was open to anyone. animal enters, we are without hot water for a day and a half. Think about taking a shower at 5 degrees and feeling like 2! The ceiling is a styrofoam wire. Cleaning has to be requested, it's not available every day. The breakfast is poor, the hotel has a restaurant inside and on the only day we decided to give it a chance, we arrived at 8:50 pm to eat and the kitchen had already closed, that is, there we go at night and walk to the Bella courtyard View is great by the way. There, try the food at Fuente do Chilena and the Venezuelan restaurant. The only two things that were good at the hotel were the service from two girls at reception and the girls at breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. Buy water and leave it in your room, in the hotel it's a robbery. There is a market on the back street and next to the lighthouse a small grocery store where you can buy pre-made chips, of course, won.
