Quality Inn Redding Near I-5

Service and stuff was very good. Hotel was clean and food was very good.

Stayed here over night. Location is good close to I-5 & front desk young man was friendly. The room had a weird smell & when I inspected the the bed one of the pillows had a blood stain. My husband took it to the front desk (it was late in the PM) & the young man there was apologetic & immediately gave him another one. Over all the room was clean & the breakfast they over is decent.

Breakfast is pretty good compared to others. Only thing for me is that if you're in the first floor and there is someone on the second floor, every foot step can be loud below.

45 minutes to check in. dozens of small flying bugs in the room attracted to the light and on the wall. Room had a funky odor. Floors were dirty, white socks black. Parking lot well lit, bed was comfortable, easy access to I-5, breakfast was pretty good.

Quiet, Safe, Wonderful Breakfast, Friendly Staff. My next travel to Redding CA, I'll stay here again.

The front desk guy Benjamin is absolutely horrible!! Apparently they have a $500 deposit for locals (which I was never told about when booking the room) anyways my mother went to check in and was told they needed the $500 before they would allow them to check in and sent them away because they didn’t have an extra $500 at 9:00 at night. Long story some what short I tried calling at 7:00 the next morning trying to pay the deposit and was told that because they didn’t check in the night prior (they wouldnt allow them to check in) that the entire week reservation was cancelled because of that. Benjamin told me to call ******* and get a refund for the canceled reservation and to rebook and make an entirely new reservation so that’s what I did. I got the refund which takes 7-10 days to be returned to your bank account and went and made a brand new reservation through ******* as directed. I called Benjamin back right before hitting complete on the reservation and before another $743 charge came out of my account to double check with him that I was doing exactly what he wanted me too. Then he proceeded to tell me that I was being very shady and suspicious by trying to book a room for my mother and her fiancé and that’s he’s now refusing to allow them to stay. I tried asking why he thought any of this was “shady” and he couldn’t give me an answer. He should not be in customer service! He’s extremely rude and I still can’t believe he spoke to me the way he did. Do not stay there!!
