First of all, the location is difficult to find. We arrived around 8-9pm at Rhodes airport and took a bus to old town. However, the bus cannot go inside the old town so we had a long walk with our luggage in cobblestones. The streets in the old town are narrow, dark and no sign. So we had trouble finding the accommodation and had to stop anyone passing by for directions. But even the local has no idea where it is. Finally one of the local people help us to call the care taker. 30 minutes later, she came and guide us to the location. Later on we figured out that there are 2 entrance: through the park and through the narrow street. I think entrance through the park is easier to find. Just find Laganis Greek Restaurant and it is right across the park. Another thing about the location is that while it is inside the fortress (Old Town), it is far from the Streets of Knights and any major attractions. Considering the size of the fortress, this means that we have to walk a lot. Once inside, there's common area where we can sit around. It is nice. Our room is on the second floor. It looks exactly like the picture. The room is a bit old and dark for my taste. When we were settling down, we noticed a bloodied bug on the mosquito net. And sure enough, I got bug bites later on. However, it is not all bad...We love the fact that it is equipped with a small kitchen with stove and complete utensils. The care taker also response quickly when we emailed them about a leak in the shower. So overall, it is a 3 out of 5 stars.
