Golden Odyssey Hotel - All Inclusive

Room was lovely and clean, pools were enjoyed by all. Food was good for all inclusive. Everyone ate something every meal. Day time entertainment was few and far between however nighttime was fantastic and not to be missed. My only complaint would be the drinks. There is only 1 drinks machine near the main pool. However if you are over by the other 2 pools or the slides it’s a taxing walk especially as you are only allowed a small cup and have drank the drink before you have even got back to your subbed. Not allowed to fill up bottles either - not even water! I would suggest at least 1 more drinks machine on the slides side of the hotel and would have been brilliant. Also buses were horrendous. Got told get on the bus at 2 so I did, asked the driver for the destination paid and sat down. Then 20 minutes in realised we were going the complete wrong direction! Gave up on that day and tried the next day. Got there at 1:50 for the 2pm bus and gave up waiting at 3:30pm it never arrived! Lovely sports bar down the road showing all the football.

i’ve got to say, our holiday at golden odessey was utterly amazing, from arrival to departure i enjoyed every second of it. we stayed in a relaxed place of the hotel in a superior family room which was very nice, however could do with a slight refurb. the pools were absolutely fantastic, the main pool can be busy and loud but if you want somewhere relatively quieter, than head to one of the other two pools. the restaurant is amazing, serving an amazing buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all were amazing. complements to all the restaurant staff including the restaurant manager who is an amazing person! the entertainment was fun to watch, however the seating and tables get very full and if you want to play cards, i wouldn’t recommend sitting up the top as it can get windy in the evenings, instead sit at one of the tables outside the restaurant. the pool bar was tasty serving a range of snacks to tide you over, however different dishes could be done for different days but they tasted amazing. the shuttle to the beach was convenient however it could be ran more frequently, just so you are aware, as with many european beach’s nowadays, they do charge for sunloungers and cabanas, overall, this holiday was outstanding! thank you to all the golden odessey staff!! xx

The experience was brilliant. The hotel was only a short journey from the airport, even with the various stops that a shuttle service makes. They have great facilities, for all ages, including Table tennis; 3x pool tables; dart board; 3x large swimming pools; 1x children's pool (very close to the poolside bar for snacks etc); the 2 pools used to accommodate the water slides and a small kids club. The alcoholic drinks during the daytime hours are restricted to draught beer & wine (Red, White & Rose), unfortunately. These are self serve. After 5pm you can then head to the main bar for cocktails and spirits. The staff made our stay incredibly enjoyable. The Manager is extremely polite and welcoming and will be there to greet you at every meal. Mike, the main entertainer, is extremely good at his job, he includes everyone of all ages in his acts & is, overall, a completely top-man. He, single-handedly made my holiday far better than it qould have been, had he not been there. The bar staff are easy to converse with, speak many languages and, again, are very polite. The on-resort spa is run by Mike's partner and is a HUGE recommendation, of mine. The massages on offer vary from foot and leg through to full body. The 1 one thing to keep in mind: always pay for the longer session, you'll regret it if you don't. I thought a 25-30 min back massage would be plenty, I came out faced with instant regret I didn't buy the extended time Good food for an all exclusive resort. As you can imagine, its not Michelin star quality but there's a decent and varied selection. The poolside food bar has chips, fish fingers, hot dog style sausages and beef burgers (the burgers are lovely). Self-serve scooped ice cream also starts here at 2pm. The rooms were nice and well looked after. Air-con, unlike many other places, is free to use. We had a pool terraced, family room. Which was fantastic, as you walked out your front door and were right in front of the pool. There's absolutely none of the "6.30am/7am rush" for sunbeds, there's always a few available if you are a bit late to the pool area. On site shop is a very convenient feature, they have. They sell all sorts including cigarettes here, which vary in price, but are around €5 on average. I've probably missed so many more positive things that I could say about Golden Odyssey but, overall, I'd certainly consider coming back here. The negative bits (bear in mind, many of these aren't the hotels fault): . Relatively loud cricket sounding insects/creatures in the trees during daytime hours (you block it out after a while). . ANTS - As you can imagine, hot country, loads of sticky drinks being spilt everywhere. . Mosquitos - MAKE SURE YOU TAKE REPELLANT AND AFTER-BITE . Prices in the on-site shop - OK, so most of it is reasonably fairly priced but be warned, make sure you take sun cream and any (large) floats with you. Fantastic time! Brilliant room right by the pool but the staff made it for us.. mike is the star of the show and his wife voila and daughter marizoula are incredible lovely people, behind the bar John and fiori are the best, especially with the help of arxidia! Then Fabiana and george are absolutely incredible! So hard working and supporting mike with the entertainment every single moment .. also a shout out to the man in the restaurant leading you to tables as well as the waitresses and waiters, cannot fault the staff at all, they have made us all feel so welcome and have made our holiday as good as possible, they also worked through the 42 degree heatwave which is incredible because we couldn’t even do menial tasks but they continued to excel! ❤️ thanks to everyone at the golden odyssey for a truly memorable holiday xx

The hotel is definitely worth a visit. The staff are pleasant and service-minded, the food is varied and good, the drinks from the all inclusive program are very good for both adults and children. In addition to many beautiful and well-equipped pools, there is table tennis, billiards, air hockey and much more. The show artists do a brilliant job both day and night. Only 10 minutes' walk to the beaches in safe surroundings. Good location close to many cultural activities. This is not a luxury hotel, but as a 4-star family hotel we felt we got more than we payed for. It was also very convenient that the car renting company was always present at the reception. The hotel also have a local store if you want to buy something that the all inclusive program doesn’t provide. We would love to come back here :)

The hotel looked good both outside and inside. The staff is very friendly and polite. The rooms and the pools were also clean. The food is plentiful and relatively varied. The beach is far on foot, we rented a car, which we picked up at the hotel. We really enjoyed it.

We enjoyed this hotel food was good and the staff were always friendly the room service had room for improvement !! but I think that has todo with the fact there’s only a few cleaning staff to clean the whole hotel I know what it’s like changing my bed and I’m lucky if I escape the duvet cover at the best of times …so if you enjoy the beach expect it to be in your room till the end of the holiday but to be honest I wasn’t fazed… the restaurant staff were great the manager and his wife were so welcoming and were so nice to talk to they all really put the effort in and not to forget the pool lifeguard he was amazing he was great with the kids and when the slides were closing at 5 he will make sure every kid gets a last go he was great with my son and we thank you for making his 10 days in June he thinks highly of you so if your reading this it was the boy with the long curly hair that would go down the slide on his front and continuously talk to you lol thanks for entertaining him I wish you all the best

Where to start…. Amazing! Honestly ignore the reviews. I cannot fault this place, I have been to way worse 4 stars! The entertainment is just brilliant, kids happy, facilities are good. So much for them to do. And Mike the entertainer just does not stop! Constant smile and involving everyone, playing good mix of music at night, even in his night off!! Hotel was spotless, I couldn’t fault the cleanliness at all. Restaurant does get very busy, but it’s school holidays so I expected that, the staff work non stop. They are all friendly and happy. Well all except one, the rude guy behind the bar who doesn’t like kids!!!! But him aside this was fabulous. Little walk away from the shops etc around 10-15 mins to a few little tack shops and restaurants and free shuttle will drop you at the little town on the way to the beach. Food always varied, breakfast isn’t quite an English breakfast so we did skip that but plenty of nice hot food served at the pool side and meal times for lunch and dinner were great, always something to eat! Stonebaked pizzas fabulous! Would we come back? ABSOLUTELY! Please do not read the reviews and be put off. This place is a hidden gem. And people moaning tend to be similar to the one in the restaurant today that wanted a spider removing off the roof!!!!! So ignore the Moans and book this holiday; you will be pleasantly surprised!

We arrived to the hotel around 9 pm. The night shift receptionist could not find our reservation. (Our reservation was made via **********). We still got a room. It was quite terrible. The air conditioning was either off or freezing (the thermostat was visibly broken.) The worst thing was the noise as the room was located right next to the outdoor show stage and disco. The music continued to at least 1:30 am. We had sent the hotel a message before days before departing via email and the hotels own contact form. Asking if it were possible to have some food reserved due to our late arrival, since the restaurant closes at 9 pm. None of the messages were ever answered nor received. The next day we were told that the email on the hotel’s website is not in use. We didn’t get any food, so we bought 2 pizzas for total of 14 euros from the hotel bar. Next morning the hotel started to sort out the problem with our reservation. The matter seemed to move slowly so we contacted ********** ourselves. After several long calls and talking with the hotel manager we were told that our reservation had ended up in the spam folder of the hotels email account. We were also told by the hotel manager that this happens occasionally. We were given a quieter room during the same afternoon after requesting one. The rest of the holiday was smoother. Some of the staff were friendly especially in the restaurant. The reception staff could do better. The cleaning was basic level, the rubbishes were taken out daily. The food and drinks were good, although the menu was quite similar from day to day. There were a nice variety of different pools, but we would have liked an even more shallow kid’s pool. Kids playground was nice, and we used it a lot, but it could use some renovation. The seesaw’s were clearly broken, an one of them was clearly missing fittings just like the slide.
