Marathon Hotel - All Inclusive

We decided to have a week away from the rain in the UK, and were guided by the TripAdvisor reviews on this hotel. We booked through LoveHolidays as it was such a late booking. The hotel is set in a good location in the small village which has some nice restaurants and typical tourist shops 30 minutes from the airport and most main sites. The hotel was very tidy and clean and the staff very helpful and attentive, the food was varied and good to suite most tastes. We went the all inclusive but ate out a couple of nights but would have happily eat at the hotel through the 7 days. The sweets were very nice and varied. I think we came up lucky with probably the best room in the hotel near the smaller pool at the rear. It was clean and to a modern standard with TV in both sleeping areas and and a nice modern bathroom. The room was cleaned regularly even on the last morning. We hired a car for four days which was very cheap, and visited Lindos, Rhodes Town, some villages and sights on the west coast including ancient Kamiros, Castle of Kritinia a few villages and the Filerimos Cross which was amazing at sunset. Definitely visit Anthony Quin Bay if you get a chance. Would happily recommend this hotel as a good base to visit the island of Rhodes with very helpful friendly staff.

We booked a week in Kolymbia, Rhodes in mid October for myself and my partner who has been before but when she was younger. After a pretty below average holiday 2 years previous to Spain we were hopeful that this would be all the expectations that previous reviewers had said, and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is set in the centre of Kolymbia only a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach and even closer to numerous shops and eateries. On arrival we felt straight at ease with the wonderful receptionist catering for everything we asked, got to our room, very clean and tidy,with its own fridge and safe. The facilities were top notch with a beautiful pool area right next to the bar and snack/pizza area. The food was really good, always something there to choose that suited us. Anything we wanted to know the staff were always on hand to help, never a bother to them at all. Entertainment was always enjoyable and often a fun night ran by Max, affectionately known as Mr Entertainment. Would I go back to Rhodes yes, would I stay at the same hotel? 100% thoroughly enjoyed and recommend Marathon to anyone, couples, friends and families they cater for all. So just to say a huge thank you Marathon and all your staff for making mine and Anna's holiday an amazing experience 😀

Friendly and response staff who are keen to facilitate ones requests quite readily. Good menu choices catering to protean tastes. Nearby shopping with varied goods at competitive prices. The long pool at some 75m is rather unique and serves various ages as it is not more than 1.5m in depth at its most profound.

We came for three nights, but we wish we could stay for three weeks. Marathon hotel is full of relaxation and pure fun. The food is great (and a lot from it) and the staff is warm and inviting. The pool area with the bar makes it a perfect resting point.

This is an excellent hotel with very friendly staff. The Manager of the hotel is fantastic. The restaurant has a great selection of food to suit every taste. Rooms are very clean. Hotel is in perfect location for beach, shops and restaurants. I can confidently recommend this hotel. Big thank to the hotel staff and manager.

We stayed for 11 nights and had a brilliant time, the staff are all so friendly and helpful especially Aggi on reception, Denis at the bar and many others. Our room was plenty big enough with a balcony, the bathroom had a great shower that was both powerful and a great size. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job every day with fresh towels when needed , the floors were thoroughly mopped and bins emptied daily. They made an extra special treat of decorating our bed for our wedding anniversary which was such a lovely surprise. They also supplied us with a kettle as an extra request which I really appreciated as I love my early morning cuppa. The food was some of the best that we have eaten at an All inclusive, lots of different choices each day with either a fresh meat or fish cooked in front of you on a griddle for lunch and dinner plus a pasta dish. Also many different greek specialities as well as themed nights . Breakfast had eggs, omelettes and pancakes cooked in front you fresh plus lots of other food choices. The pool was great and we always managed to get a sunbed even after 9am. Max the entertainment guy was super friendly despite not many wanting to join in some of the daytime activities. There was some kind of entertainment every evening which we really enjoyed.
