Our 2nd year at the Barbie appts, & we loved our 2 weeks there. Vangellis, Barbara are perfect hosts.Their son & his beautiful girlfriend are so kind to you.Special mention to Sally who works in the bar/snack bar she is so lovely & always polite. We have loved our 2 holidays here. The beds/pillows are the best in all the Greek appts we have stayed at.The food is amazing & their spaghetti bolognaise is the best ever!!

Just waiting for the coach to pick us up from Barbie after 14 nights stay, it’s been a fantastic break, amazing weather, lovely people, the hotel Barbie is just perfect, the rooms are spacious, modern and clean, with all that you need for self catering, fab shower with plenty of water pressure and hot water If needed, the internet is good in the room and by the pool, plenty of sun loungers, the pool is good, it quite which is what we like, the supermarkets and shops are so close, the beach is a 6 min walk, pebble beach but clean and the sea was warm, be aware you need to pay for sun lounger and parasol at a cost of 15 to 25 euros a day which can add quiet a cost to your holiday if you are using the beach and loungers often, The staff at hotel Barbie are wonderful, helpful if needed, but leave you alone if that’s what you prefer, the cleaning maid are both so lovely and came in every day to clean around, make the beds and leave fresh towels, I have never slept so well EVER, the mattresses are 1st class so much so I will be purchasing one when I return home, I already have an expensive mattress that I though was good but the sleep I have had wow, also very quiet in the night no street noise, this has been a very easy review to write, we will be returning Thank you all at Barbie for making our holiday great 😘 Forgot to say the food and drinks at Barbie are also very good, everything is spotlessly clean

Stayed beginning of Oct for 10 nts with Jet2. Paid 15euros on arrival for the Greek hotel tax (1.50e pppn). Asked for a high floor & given room 228 (opposite reception) which was ideal as it overlooked the quiet street & hotel entrance. The room had a large balcony & inside had 2 single beds. Enough storage areas & enough blankets (we didn't use them) hangers & hairdryer. 2ring electric hob, kettle, pots, pans, plates & utensils. The shower was over the bath & very good unlike some Greek accommodation we've stayed in. Air con & a safe were payable if you wanted them-we didn't. We used the pool/garden areas a few times & there were more than enough loungers to use. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel as we like to get out & about. There are many cats in the area so if like us you don't mind them, they will find you. We had one visiting black female cat who visited us several times daily & was there every morning as it slept on the balcony. It spent as much time in the apartment as we did!!! The hotel is no more than 5mins stroll to the main road for the bus to Rhodes Town or less than 5mins to the beach. The s'market on the left at the end of the walk towards the beach & resort centre is very good & cheap. It's opposite the Moto hire outlet so cannot be missed.

Just returned after a two week vacation in a self catering studio. The hotel is well situated only a short stroll from nearby shops, restaurants and bars and the beach about a 10 minute walk. The room was spacious extremely clean and the beds the most comfortable I have found during my many visits to Greece. The room was serviced daily with fresh bedding and towels every 2 or 3 days. The bathroom appeared to be recently refurbished with fantastic walk-in shower. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The cooking facilities were adequate but could do with some updating. Drinks and meals served at the poolside bar/restaurant were very reasonably priced and excellent quality. My only criticism would be the €120 fee for two weeks air condition which was essential due the temperature being over 30 degrees.

My teen son and I went with friends at the start of August. We all really enjoyed our stay at Barbie. The rooms were very spacious and, although air con was an additional €60 for the week, it worked well at keeping the room cool in 30+ heat. The pool was great - never too busy - and there were plenty of sun beds with parasols. Lots of food available: Greek, British, and Dutch. The owners were friendly, rooms cleaned every day, and the location was great for getting to the centre of Ialyssos (5 minute walk); to the beach (10 minutes), and to the bus stop for Rhodes town (10 minutes). I’d definitely recommend.

We are currently staying in Barbie in Ialyssos. We got a brilliant deal with jet2 in the first week if the school summer holidays . Paid £2300 for all 7 of us self catering for 7 nights, 2 adults 3 kids 13,6 and 3 and their grandparents who are in their 60’s. Rooms are basic self catering rooms which are a little dated but, have everything you need and are clean, spacious and comfortable. Balcony is a great size and nice to enjoy first thing or in the evening. We stayed in the apartments across the road. Literally takes 30 seconds to walk down to the pool! It isn’t far so don’t be put off by “across the road” . Between the seven of us we have 3 apartments which is sleeping my youngest and me in one room, my husband and the older two in another and my in laws have their own apartment. This is working great! Despite having different rooms we are all still in talking distance from one another due to the size of the apartment blocks. It really is a lovely personal site. There is only ground floor and first floor in the apartments that surrounds the pool and ground, first and second floor in the block over the road. There are no lifts so if you are not able to walk a few steps (there are not many at all) then you will need to request a ground floor. My mother in law requested the ground floor as she has bad knees and it was fulfilled with no issue. My youngest and I are on the first floor with a buggy but it has so little steps it has made no impact on our time at all. The hotel has a restaurant on site and a bar which is very fairly priced. The pool is a good size and the park directly next to it with a pool table and air hockey which are under shade. The outside layout and fact that it is a small site has meant that we can safely see the kids at all times when by the pool side, for us a winner! Also no sunbed wars!!! Plenty to go around (umbrellas too) and i think only 1 family have put towels down and bogged off for the day 🙄 but there is always one. The sites owners are incredibly helpful friendly and polite. My mother in law took unwell on the first day from heat exhaustion ( Europe is currently having a heat wave and temps are up at around 40 c .) the lady who runs it could not have been kinder or more helpful in seeing that she was ok. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the restaurants and bars and shops. About a minute and a half to the well stocked mini supermarket ( maybe a co-op sized shop.) There are plenty of choices for places to eat and drink at. Restaurants that have kids play areas out the back and bars that serve food and have live music. Being self catering with a hotel in this location is perfect! The beach is a 6-8 minute walk there is a sweet good sized play park there also and a little shop for refreshments. However, it is at the bottom of the restaurant ***** so if you are out all day you wont find yourself hungry or thirsty. If you walk up to the main road (5 minute walk to the bus stop) you can catch a bus to Rhodes.

A good 3* Greek hotel comfortable safe and clean If you want extras like air con, safe, late check out. (And mandatory Tourist tax) it’s cash only there is an ATM nearby but you might want to plan Euro120 cash in your budget

Me and my partner both 25 year old stayed here on a half board basis for 7 days. The hotel is in a quiet location but only 2 min walk to sports bars and restaurants. A longer 20 min walk to the next village which has a lot more bars for nightlife. And 20 min bus journey to Rhodes town. Our tranfer took us 20 mins which was ace. The food was nice, you order from a menu rather than buffets. Friday they held a bbq and greek dancers put on a show. The pool area is nice. Small place but worth the 3 stars. I wouldn’t say anymore. The cleaners came every day and laid fresh towels and bed sheets. On one occasion the bed sheets had blood stains but we didn’t know until the morning we checked out so not worth the complaint. Hotel managers and bar staff are lovely and can’t help you enough. It’s a perfect hotel for those who want to relax and sun bathe. It does attract more mature couples, I did get a few funny looks from other couples as I came down for tea in my evening outfits…as if they’d never seen a girl in a dress before but that’s no fault of the hotels! All in all we had a holiday to remember. Thanks barbie studios!
