Went here in September as a girls holiday for a 60th. Staff were outstanding, always polite, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The pool is freezing as it is in the shade all day but there were people still going in and out. That's the only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5. Because of the buildings surrounding, the sun hits the sun loungers of a morning until around 11am and then from 2pm onwards. The bar is a little expensive compared to other hotels I have stayed on the island but not too much that you wouldn't pay it. The breakfast has plenty of choice, most of it is repeated the next day but there are a few dishes that are different each morning. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. We had a twin room and there was plenty of space for the two of us. The rooms were extremely clean and tea, coffee, milk and sugar were replenished daily. If you needed more, reception were happy to get you some. The spa is more a beauty parlour rather than what we would call a spa. The young woman in there was brilliant though and very well trained in massages. Prices were very reasonable and booking was easy. We have both said we would definitely return to the hotel in the future.

Leaving the hotel after 11 nights, and can honestly say we’ve had a lovely stay. All staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was modern and clean, with cleaners going in every day. We had a room at the back of the hotel and couldn’t hear the noise from bar street with the balcony door closed. Breakfast had plenty of hot and cold choices, and fried eggs and omelettes were freshly cooked on request. The hot chocolate from the coffee machine is amazing The location is good with plenty of restaurants, shops, and the beach very close by. We walked into old town almost daily which took about 20 minutes and there’s plenty to see on the way. The pool area is quite small, but considering it’s a hotel in the city and that many nearby hotels don’t have a pool at all, it was great. Most hotel guests seemed to be respectful with the sun beds so they weren’t reserved at silly hours. Our only negative points were that the bed was quite hard (although we got used to it after the first night), and one night the air con wasn’t working properly but this was promptly sorted by the morning. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a big construction project going on across the road, but the workers only seemed to be there until around 3pm each day so we were out exploring for most of it, and were easily able to drown out any noise when around the pool. It’s not the fault of this hotel and completely out of their control - if your travel operator didn’t warn you then that’s an issue with them, not the hotel!
