Aquagrand Artistic Luxury Beach Resort - Adults Only

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff. Recommend.

Our 4th visit and it never disappoints. This is a fantastic 5* resort, with great food, service, rooms and location. Sunbeds are the best! Sea is warm, surroundings stunning, location perfect as it’s only 5mins drive from the pretty town of Lindos.

Just back from another great holiday at the Aquagrande, a little piece of paradise as far as we are concerned. This was our fifth visit to the hotel and we will be returning. Wonderful service from all the staff, one of our group is gluten intolerant and the restaurant and bar staff went out of their way to ensure she was looked after, most of the meal choices she could have but they would even cook specific meals as requested. Cannot fault how she was looked after. Rooms are lovely and clean, nice gardens and relaxing atmosphere. We think it’s just a great place, thanks to everyone there for another great stay.

Expensive experience but is it really worth it if guests shout in the night and beach service is unfriendly. On my arrival the very nice man taking my luggage took the time looking at my photos frommy previous hotel where I told him that I got the same room for nearlyhalf the price, where children were allowed and with no private beach. So my 2nd five star hotel out of 6 had a marriage on the beach where I did not want to be in their way, so I could not walk at the beach as ceremony and picture taking took over an hour. Around 1 o'clock in the morning there were some guests in suites nearer to the beach making a lot of noise. You need a car, mountains around you, Lindos is reachable by feet, onlystone beach, you need to wear special shoes with a very hard plastic sole, and the unfriendly waiter at the beach bar around 12:30 made me realize that priviledge of adult only with perhaps more wealthy guests, do not bring anything positive to the happiness for waiters to work there. I did not like that at the reception they did not give me enough time to finish mywelcome drink, as I hurried with my drink in my hand and sat in the electric caddy showing me the hotel area, and then I realized that I sat on my smartphone and I couldhave broken it. Overpriced, not really worth nearly 500 eur for 1 night.

We visited last year and loved the quietness and the solitude of the place. This year we managed to get a morning flight and arrived at 1 pm much better than the midnight arrival last year! Well done Liverpool airport. We had an ocean view room block 8, which was good, last year we had a pool room block 6, but didn’t use the pool-too much, so decided on a balcony this time. The room was good apart from an air con system that if you turned it off wouldn’t start easily again so we left it on and the front flap was broken. Some things are looking a little tired and may need upgrading soon. All in all everything is good at this hotel, the usual comments apply 1.5 miles to Lindos which I walked each morning, and similar to pefkos which I didn’t due to the terrain. Taxis 10euro bus about 2euros from the top of the drive. Shop on site which is great. The main pool we didn’t use too much this year as the sun beds are not the best and quite uncomfortable but it wasn’t too busy, we used the bottom pool, one gripe we had was at 7am there were already two couples who put blue towels on the same sunbeds by the shower, which was annoying especially as we had the sunbeds the day we arrived but couldn’t after that, one couple even put towels on 2 beach sunbeds early too and alternated between the beach and pool which was ridiculous! This should not happen We nearly did the if you can’t beat them join them thing but felt guilty doing so. We had half board and the food was great but I would say as we are in Greece there should be more than one Greek night a week, or more Greek options, As it was excellent when it was on. The pool bar did Italian last year this time it didn’t? Men having to wear trousers though was a bit petty in 30 degree heat I didn’t agree with that, especially as there were women in shorts in the restaurant? Also half board should include the other restaurants too not just the buffet as it can get a bit monotonous every day. We enjoyed our stay but not sure if it’s still 5’* compared to others we have stayed at. We may return or keep our options open.
