Grand Central Hotel Richmond

Booked via ********** for 115$C. Located in DT Richmond, the hotel is the second floor of the town's tavern. Check in is via code provided one day ahead of time. Code for the front door then audio check-in where they tell you the code of the safe key box to retrieve physical key of the room (the door lock also works with a code but not offered), The room was decent sized but its clear they added the shower (a small tubular one) and toilet bowl to a very old room design. The decor itself was modern ikea, copper tube themed furniture. Good bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV was internet based with one of these international channels and internet only channels like Tubi...could not figure out how to get regular service. Warning: the only privacy you will get on the loo is a curtain so only recommended for solo or couples given lack of intamacy. And there was this faint sewage smell. Plenty of parking in the back, and bicycle path is closeby (check out the bridge closeby!) No breakfast options on site but plenty of options in town. Decent option

The bed is sooooo uncomfortable you toss and turn all night trying to get comfortable. The pillows have so much depth that you wake up with pain, ps squeezing them down only works for a maybe. 10-15 seconds and then the spring back up. The shelf at the head of the bed, dangerous.. not attached to the bars so could tilt off and hurt like hell when you hit your head. Forget hanging your clothes there unless you want to sleep with your head in them. The shower, the head is unadjustable and in order to get in when you have the right water temp you get water sprayed on the floor. The step between the bed flooring and sink, shower, toilet, not a good idea. I guess there is no area tv programming. They do not replenish or enter the rooms to replenish coffee at least. It was a very tight fit room. Not a place to share as no privacy. Table did not open up, night fit chair against the door.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the room, wich was recently and beautifly renovated. :-)

Our stay in your Grand Hotel Richmond was excellent … room was compacted but very clean. We had everything we needed.

clean room and good bathroom. little bit weird shower room because of just a curtain.

Brand new interior. Very well nicely done. A little bit small, some odd design features. Not a bad place. I enjoyed staying here. Pizza place up the road is delicious!

Room is perfect, clean.
